Hi, We are staying at Marriot Imperial Palm Villas in Orlando. I would really like some info about this resort if you have been there?

Is it far from Disneyworld?
Do they have any shuttle to parks/shopping etc?
We are staying in a 3 bedroom Villa ( 2 of them, because we are a group of 9 people )

If you have any info, trip reports etc for this resort I would really like to hear about it :o)

Thank you,

We stayed there in March. The units were very nice. Marriott has just refurbished them. There were granite countertops in the kitchen, black appliances (solid surface range), and large bar with bar stools and nice dining table with plenty of room for a large family dinner.

The master bedroom was very large with double sinks, king bed, jacuzzi tub, shower. The second bedroom had a queen size sofa bed and queen size bed. The third bedroom had two twin beds.

There was a nice quiet pool next to Imperial Palms with a hot tub. The larger pool was across the driveway over at Royal Palms at the check-in area. This is also the place where you could catch a shuttle to the Marriott World Center hotel facilities.

I don't know about parks shuttles - I don't think they have any. We were only a 10 minute drive to Downtown Disney, though. It's a quick drive to the parks, too. Here's a link to Marriott's site on Imperial Palms:

Imperial Palms is a nice 'resort.' It's part of the Marriott timeshare complex that includes the adjacent Royal Palms. Marriott's Sabal Palms is also in the area and all of these timeshares are located on the Marriott World Center property which is dominated by the large Marriott World Center hotel.

All of the Imperial Palms villas are three bedroom units. The Imperial Palms section is mostly set up within a long four-story building (though I think that there may be a section or two that are three-stories). Most resort amenities are shared with the Royal Palms section and guests may use the facilities at the hotel (they have a shuttle that runs from the timeshare sections to the hotel and back). I'm fairly certain that Imperial Palms has recently been refurbished so the villa accomodations should be very nice.

I could be wrong but I think that the resort does not have a shuttle service to the theme parks. When we stay at area timeshare resorts we always rent a car to get around. There's nothing in the area of the resort other than the hotel that you'd be able to get to without a car or taking a taxi.

Imperial Palms is indeed close to the Disney parks. I'd estimate around 4 miles to Hollywood Studios, 5 miles to Epcot, 6 miles to the Magic Kingdom, 7 miles to Animal Kingdom, 3 to 4 miles to Downtown Disney, also about 3 - 4 miles to Typhoon Lagoon water park, and maybe 6 miles to the Blizzard Beach water park. Lot's of shopping and restaurants in the general area of the resort - but, again, you'd need transportation to get to those.

Take a look at the Imperial Palms website through this Marriott owners link...

I bet you'll have a very good time at this resort.
