Marriage: The Trip Report - Update 2/28 - Final Thoughts & Link to Disneyland TR!

What a fun morning in the MK! Sorry you missed the show....that is our luck usually! I love that shot on your way to Jungle Cruise behind Pecos Bills...of the empty sidewalk!! Thats the way I like the MK:goodvibes Alexa wasnt too fond of Pirates on our trip this past June. Im hoping she will try BTMRR on our next trip. I have confidence she will finally be tall enough to try some big rides, but she is also timid so I dont know what we will get her on. Cant wait to hear what is up next:love:

What a fun morning at the MK (and gotta love an empty park).

Sorry you missed the opening show again.

So glad Henry went on POTC and loved it. And he is the cutest darn pirate I've ever seen.

Awesome update!!! Sorry you didn't make it to the rope drop show, but it would seem you got A LOT accomplished that morning!!

Love that Henry got to enjoy a pirate experience...how fun is that!!!!

My plate - I tried both kids of potatoes since Tim (that's nice) told me I had to try the ones with the turkey because they were WEIRD. I liked them, but thought the regular breakfast potatoes were weird. What does that tell you about me?!
Ummmm... you are the one who said it... popcorn::popcorn::

I know at CMs you are basically paying for the experience. It is great to have all the characters come to you without lines. We do CM every other trip.

You took a ton of great pictures! :goodvibes

Brook, if you haven't figured a way to stitch together your panoramic balcony view yet, I would be happy to do it. I have photoshop cs5 and there is an automated function that stitches photos together, it would take me about 45 seconds :)

I actually never used the function before, but I tested it out just now (had to make sure I could operate it before I offered) and I made this:

Great pic! :thumbsup2

I really enjoyed our meal at Teppan Edo too. Not that is was soooo much better than our local hibachi, but I really enjoy sitting down and relaxing for a few minutes after the hustle and bustle of the parks.

And they have now put in grasses instead of the gravel here, right? So you can't stand in front of the characters? I read somewhere it was NEVER the intent to let guests stand there...I had no idea! It's low to the ground, there was gravel...apparently we had been breaking a rule all these years! :rolleyes1
I guess we are guilty of this as well. Maybe they should put signs up so people don't go up there. I'm sorry that I'm going to have to break the news to MJ. He is going to be really sad not being able to hang out with Dory. :sad1:

On the way up Henry asked if we could take the Tronorail. I told him I wasn't sure, we had to take whatever came.

And guess what came?

The Tronorail! Of course! :rotfl:
WTG Henry!!!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Henry was THRILLED with his pirate gear. He couldn't stop shooting the gun or singing the song. We heard "Yo ho, yo ho, a pirates life for me!" for months! :goodvibes

Love this pic!!!! When we get off pirates, we sing the song for a few hours afterwards! :lmao:

Bonus FPs for Philharmagic. Are those every necessary other than maybe during Christmas???
It would be cool if you got bonus FPs for Pooh, or Space Mountain! :lmao:

IMMEDIATELY after it ended, Henry's first words were "Can I shoot it now?" :rotfl:
This is great! :rotfl2: I can't wait till Christopher grows up!

So glad Henry went on POTC and loved it. And he is the cutest darn pirate I've ever seen.
Oh Ms. Kat. You've used this line before on another one of your 'cutest pirates'. Need I remind you of this pirate? I guess I have to break out the picture again... :rolleyes1

Henry is one of the cutest little pirates ever! He sure looks proud of himself in all that gear! :thumbsup2

An empty MK is the best. :goodvibes

it's a small world with the holiday overlay (and it's ALL holiday inside too, very, very fun!)

Needless to say, by all my rave remarks above you can tell we absolutely adored Disneyland! I have over 3,000 pictures to share and video!

Oh my! I love your Disneyland sneak peek. I can't wait to read the report. I've never been. I'm bummed we won't get to meet up next month but I understand.

Henry does make an adorable pirate. I love the interaction you had with the pirate in the dump shop. I hope the guns didn't go in the carry on. My oldest loved toy guns when he was little. I can just hear him saying the same thing about shooting his guns too.

Holy Cow Brook!!!! I want to get on a plane and head to Disneyland RIGHT NOW:lmao: I love those pictures.
I love the teacups outside with no cover. Love the little lanterns, but it looks weird with no teapot like we are used to :)
Aladdin Show...never even knew they had one....and I Want To Go see it!!!
Dont even get me started on that World of Color:cloud9: It looks awsome and I cant wait to see ALL your pictures of it:cool1:
Small World looks so amazing lit up like that.....and its so different outside too:lovestruc
I love that headboard that lights up! TOO cool! Henry jumping on the different beds:goodvibes He looks like he is having so much fun!
What an awsome looking trip. I cant wait to read all about it:goodvibes

Oh I can hardly wait to hear about the Disneyland trip! We've looked into going a couple of times but keep getting drawn back to WDW.

3000 pictures! I don't know how you do it, Brook, because I always feel like I have a lot when I take 300! :rotfl:

World of Color and Cars Land are two reasons why I really am dying to go back to Disneyland. And now that DVC has the online booking my dad and I were playing around on the site the other day looking to see if it's ever possible to get a room at the Grand Californian.

They still have the Aladdin show?! I could've sworn that when we were there the last time it was getting ready to close. And that was in 2007. Maybe I'm just making that up though. :confused3 LOL.

My question is... if it was as easy and the same price as wdw, would you go again as often? Or is it something you do once, or twice?

Welcome home. Enjoying continuing this report, but now can't wait to hear your thoughts on Disneyland and view your photos. We love DL and DCA. It is a totally different experience, but a magical one just the same. I have my photos loaded on facebook from this past summer. Would love to share them with you if you would like to see them. Loved the sneak peak.

My stomach was starting to growl at me though, and I had one thing on my mind for lunch...

Corn dog nuggets?

Love the DL pic preview! I would love to stay in their hotels some time!

I missed it.

AGAIN.

While we were "living" right next door!

Will we EVER make it?!

:scared1: So close but yet so far away. Awwww I am sorry you missed it. Keep it on the list. Maybe you will make it when /if you stay at AKL. :lmao:

1220328858_nfpty-L.jpg

We ended up with the pirate Mickey ears, a gun, a sword and eye patch. The Cast Member you see in this picture, Bob, spoke pirate the ENTIRE time to Henry. Henry was fully convinced he was in fact, a pirate. It was awesome. He also asked us if we were flying home after our trip, and we told him we were. He warned us about putting weapons in carry-on luggage. :rotfl:

Oh yes, it all has to be checked. Ask me how I know. :rolleyes1

It's so cute to see such a mean pirate with an "I ::MickeyMo Mom" shirt on. :rotfl2: It's like a biker with a "Mother" tattoo. Anyway, I'm sure Henry was over the moon with all of his pirate gear.

What a great Disneyland preview! I can't wait to read the full version. popcorn::
