I'm new here but have a quandry. We have ADR for Marrakesh but, in checking on the contents of authentic Morrocan food, I noticed that they seem to use a lot of ginger. Ginger, in very small amounts - basically small enough that you can't taste it - doesn't effect me. However, fresh ginger or a strong ginger flavor often results in extreme illness. (It's not life-threatening and I actually love the flavor of ginger, but is definitely the end of an evening for me.)
Now, I've seen a few posts that seem to indicate that Marrakesh isn't that authentic. I've also not seen any posts indicating a strong flavor of ginger. Likewise, the menus don't seem to indicate that ginger is a main ingredient.
For those of you that have been there, did you notice a flavor of ginger?
(Most likely I'll still follow up with the restaurant to make sure, but was curious if ginger is even being used in their recipes.)
Thanks for any help you all might offer.
