I loved this book!!! I went through so many emotions while reading it; crying, laughing, etc. It also reminded me so much of our Lab Jake and my brothers dog Tucker. It's by far the best book I've read in a long time!

I loved it. I was in the middle of it when my grandma's dog died. My grandma got her a month before I was born, so I grew up with her and she was as much my dog as my grandma's. After I finished, I gave the book to my grandma to read. She read the first chapter and said "I don't want to read this, I thought it was about the guy's dog when he was a kid but that dog died. What do I want to read about a dead dog for?" I told her to keep reading it. What does she do? She picks it up and starts reading about 3/4 of the way through where Marley dies. Then she tells me "The dog dies, thats too sad, I don't want to read it." I'm still trying to convince her to just read it from start to finish 5 months later.

I finished the book on a flight out to San Francisco. Well, the last 20 minutes of the book (and the flight) I was WEEPING! My shoulders were hitching up and down and my breath was all jaggedy. Snot was flowing freely from my nose and of course I didn't have a tissue.

I couldn't get myself together, and yet...I couldn't stop reading! God, I was so embarrassed, and the guy next to me kept giving me funny looks. I kept angling myself closer and closer to the window so I could enjoy my cry in peace.

This was my "bedtime book" last month. I would read it to help ease me into dreamland. Instead of dreamland I devoured half of it the first night. Twice I woke up dh laughing so hard. I can't read it because I know it is too sad.

But, John Grogan used to live in Boca Raton and write a weekly column for the Sun Sentinel. His articles were so funny and priceless!! I cut out a few to save and still have them. He HAD to be a close neighbor because he sure knew Boca!

I just started it last night. It's been unbelievably long since I laughed out loud at a book. I couldn't stop giggling and I couldn't stop reading. I live with a mini Marley! Definite must read!!!!

I loved it! I can really relate because I have a yellow lab just like Marley...but she's worth her weight in gold. Just like Marley

I read it last December and I laughed the whole time.... ALMOST

In some weird way it inspired me to get a dog.... Well.... as luck would have it... he turned out just like Marley! You know the whole dog obedience class part? That's my dog! Eating everything in sight and watching it come out the next day.... that's my dog!

I'm going to write a book now, too!


It's one of the funniest books I have read in a long time! A MUST read for anyone who hasn't yet read it!
