Is Downtown Disney on your itinerary when you visit the World?

A trip to WDW doesn't seem complete to me unless I visit DTD. Shopping at World of Disney, Disney's Days of Christmas, at the very least checking out Ghirardelli's for my free chocolate sample , are just a few of the things I enjoy at DTD.

If I'm on my own and it's a nice day, lasagna from Wolfgang Puck Express (Marketplace). It's kind of a tradition.

I've only been to 2 clubs on Pleasure Island. Adventurers Club a couple of times, what a riot!! Can't remember the other one....someplace with loud music, dancing, and VERY young people.

I've eaten at House of Blues (In Blues We Trust ), Bongos, Wolfgang Puck, Rainforest. I've only been to Rainforest Cafe once. Since we have them here, it doesn't seem 'special', to me.

Do you go to DTD? What do you like to do there, where do you eat?

If you've never visited DTD, why not? Is it a time issue?

I love DTD...spend most of my time in the marketplace. One of my favourite place to eat in the netire world is Wolfgangs express. Ds and I eat there at least twice on our trip. I spend hours in the world of disney. Do most of my shopping there so I get my AP discount.

I love walking around PI at night absorbing all the excitement. Have never been in the clubs as I have my ds with me.

ALmost every trip we catch a movie at the theater downtown.

We have always travelled off season and the parks close early so it seems we spend alot of time DTD in the evenings. Next trip in June the parks are actually open until 10 p.m. that is so exciting to me!

Have to get my X-mas decoration at Days of Christmas and have to go shopping at WofD.

I love to do all the shops and I just love my Annual pass discount at World of Disney. It adds up fast.

We love Pleasure Island but have only gone once. We plan to go again next visit.

I loved Earl of Sandwhich...and Ghirardelli's of course...LOL

Are you kidding DD is usually our first stop. T-shirts for the whole family are bought with my AP discount, pin trading, always have to get something at the Christmas store and my son has yet to leave the lego store without a package.

As for the other sections we haven't hit the clubs yet(someday), and DH loves to wander around west side at night.

It's our first stop every time. We usually drive straight thru from Brockville to Orlando so we don't want to have to visit a park immediately upon arrival. DTD is a nice way to ease into the Disney part of the vacation.

We love DTD and we usually eat at Fultons and RFC and I think it is Captain Jacks Oyster bar. A trip to Disney wouldn't be complete without visiting DTD atleast once and going to the christmas store for our annual cristmas tree decoration.

Well no, actually I'm not kidding!

Depending on what time of day we/I arrive, it's often our first stop too! I agree Nagle, it's an excellent way to ease into the vacation.

I haven't tried Earl of Sandwich yet, but have read lots of great reviews. Something else to add to the to-do list.

I like checking out what's going on in the Marketplace stage area. Last month when I was there, even though it was raining, they had a CM playing children's tunes and teaching them dance steps. The kids were having a blast!!!

I'm a shopaholic so DTD is a must. I love looking at the personalized stuff at the Christmas store and seeing all the new toys at the toy store. I'm also a big fan of the AP discount at the world of disney store . I even got a disney bargain on my last trip, the under $10 store was having a clearance sale on Belle tiaras!

As for food, we always stop for the Asian Chicken salad at Earl of Sandwich and a chocolate sample at Ghiradellis. Then it's on he the candy store to stock up on sugar-free peanut butter cups for FH (I think it's the only reason he tolerates my many visits). I can't wait to go back

The Marketplace is usually our first place to go also.We dont usualy arrive till later in the day(but the last time we were there first thing in the morning and didnt want to go to park just wanted to relax from the drive)Have to check out the World of Disney,the Christmas Store,the Winnie the Pooh Store and of course check any new pieces of Mr.Potato Head at the Toy store.We have eaten at RFC,McD's and of course Earl of Sandwich.
We have never been to any of the clubs at Pleasure Island(really doesnt interest us) but we have eaten at Planet Hollywood.We have also never wandered over to West Side.Just means that we have to go again and again to see all of the stuff I have never seen.

Being the shopaholic that I am, I've got to go there a couple of times every trip!

For food, I like going to Wolfgang Puck's for food and Ghirardelli's for a sundae! Snowwark, I didn't know they had free chocolate samples! I also like getting those giant peanut butter cups and rice krispie squares at the candy store-- once on our first night and then a couple more to bring back!

I usually go to the World of Disney on the last day to round up all of my souveniers so I can use my AP discount I also love checking out the jewellery section there even though I usually don't buy anything.

Oh, I'm also a fan of Basin! Their store smells heavenly! I absolutely love their sugar scrub!

We love DTD. It is an absolute must-do. FYI to those of you who have not been to Earl of Sandwich, the food is good, but they toast the buns without telling you this. I think I am the only person in the world who does not like toasted sandwich buns(sorry Quiznos)!Anyway, I did not really care for this restaurant because of this, it was good but not great imo.

I always enjoy going to DTD just to walk around and look. Last time we were there we even watched a movie. I usually always try to make a visit to DTD.

I always visit DTD on my trips and try to fit in a Sassagoula River cruise as well. I like to look around World of Disney, Pin Traders, the Art of Disney and the Christmas store mainly. We've eaten in Planet Hollywood, Rainforest Café several times and Ghirardelli's.

When my family is with me we always go down to Virgin Megastore and Dan loves to stop in at the Guitar store.

My favourite store at DTD is Disney @ Home... I'm slowly transforming rooms in my house into Disney themes, so I love that I can find different stuff.

We also usually make at least 2 or 3 trips into WOD because I always change my mind and decide I want something that I wasn't sure about on the first trip in.

We love picking up new Mr. Potato Head parts at Once Upon a Toy and checking out the lego store. Actually, I don't think there is anything in the marketplace I don't enjoy. We like wandering around the Westside, but never spend much time there and we've never gone clubbing at PI, mostly because we just can't stay up that late.

I can't wait unilt my next Ghirardelli's sunday. At Christmass they had Ghirardelli's brownies at Costco and we made Brownie sunday's it was good but not quite the same.
