I know this was brought up before, when all the changes took place. Has anyone flown lately with markers? I don't know whether that counts as a liquid.

My oldest son is autistic and has ADHD. The best way to calm him down and keep him occupied is to hand him markers and a pad of paper, and he will spend hours drawing mazes. he refuses to use crayons or colored pencils. It has to be markers! I'm in a bit of a panic now, with all the changes. I did look at the website, but it doesn't list markers or pens, specifically. I figure ballpoint pens have ink inside, so it's similar. I haven't heard of them taking away pens.

I was just hoping someone had tried the marker thing lately, just so I can prepare all of us if we can't take them on.

TIA

I flew with a permanent fine tip marker in my purse with out any problems so I would think you would be ok.

I might scatter a few extra in my purse, and carry on then if the whole set draws attention you would still have a few as back up- but I think you would be ok.

Thank you for the glimmer of hope. That's a great idea to bring along some loose markers in my purse, just in case. I've been preparing him that he may not be able to use markers, just so it shouldn't come as a shock. I'll just keep my fingers crossed.
