The plan today is to go to Magic Kingdom and do as many rides as we can until it gets too hot at around lunch time.
We had to get the castle photo first and manage to not include the scaffolding which is currently up.
Snow White is the first ride, straight on, next is Mickey's PhilharMagic which is excellent as usual but we could be sitting a bit too close as feel a bit dizzy. We walk straight onto Peter Pan followed by Its a small world. While we wait for The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Mark and Maurice go off to get fasspasses for Space Mountain. After we pooh we go to Micky's Toontown Fair, there is about a 20 minutes wait for The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacres Farm but time passes quickly. Mark and Maurice go off again to get fasspasses for Buzzlight year while the rest of us go to Mickey and then Minnie's house. I love all the cheese in her fridge
Next we go and see Mickey
We now make our way over to tomorrowland and the fasspasses are now working well as the standby queue for Space Mountain says an hour wait. This year it seems even more jerky and rough than ever. After this we just have enough time to do Stitch's Great Escape before Buzz Lightyear. By now we are hot, tired and hungry but feel pleased to have got so many rides done by lunch time. We have parked in the Contemporary Car park (as we are DVC members) and head back to the Villas. We have another lovely lunch (the cheeses are sooo nice) back at the Villa. I try not to eat too much as Mark and I will be having seven courses tonight at Victoria and Alberts.
Everyone goes swimming in the Saratoga quiet pool as is now the ritual each afternoon while I get ready to go out pampering myself in the whirlpool bath.
The other great thing about these villas is the washing machine and drier it is great not to have to worry about all the washing when we get home
Maurice kindly takes us to the Grand Floridian hotel. We are early for our 9 o'clock reservation, and go to the bar. First I have a wonderful pumpkin martini and then a sea breeze
Lisa and Maurice are kindly looking after Kirsty tonight and have gone to McDonalds at Downtown Disney. Kirsty buys a lovely stitch christmas tree ornament (which I have since dropped and smashed off a part of his ear
Before we go for our meal we pose at the balcony
I love this restaurant and it is even better than the last time we went. They give you a personalized menu and a rose. We will definately go again in August.
One of Mark's starters
We have the wine pairings. Here is Don our waiter
I am starting to feel more than a little tipsy. We both have the elk
Each course is more delicious especially the cheese course
We both have a different desert
Finally Don takes a photo of us by the fireplace
We get a cab back to the villa at about midnight and Kirsty is tucked up in the sofabed already. All we have to do is find our bedroom.
We had a great time and can't wait to book up again when the 180 booking window comes up in January.
