Hello

Has anyone been to Marineland, St Augustine, Florida ? Just wondered what your experience was like.

Our DS has Autism and he is non verbal.
In 2005 we took him to Discovery Cove for the dolphin swim, we queued for ages from 7:30 to get checked-in, then told our swim was at 1:30, as DS was unable to snorkel or swim so we went back to our villa until nearer the time. When we arrived back we had to sit through a 30 minute video, which our DS found boring and wanted to go. Then the swim - The CMs were helpful when I told them about our ds and he enjoyed stroking the dolphin in shallow water for quite along time because he was unable to participate in the deep water swim. He was unable to snorkel or do anything else at DC and didn't like the look of the food, so we went back to the villa. I don't think we were at DC for more than 1 hour.

So bearing this in mind we thought we would look elsewhere for the dolphin swim/stroke. Somewhere quieter, less hyped, etc. Marineland was mentioned to us on another thread.

Thanks for your help in advance :flower3:
