Good morning Marie,

It's been awhile since I've stopped by. Sorry about that. I'm glad to hear that your surgery went well. Sending lots of healing your way.

Thank God no one was hurt in the car accident! My brother was coming home from Illinois this week and got into a car accident too and totalled his car. Everyone is fine, but he is a bit shook up.

And sorry to hear about your ears freaking out. Just give it time. I know it's scary. The first time I put my hearing aid in, I cried so hard because everything was SO loud. It's a very scary feeling. But truth be told...if I had the opportunity to have surgery to correct my hearing loss...I'd jump at it. Consider yourself lucky. I know it stinks right now, but I'm sure that your quality of life is going to improve so much.

Take care, and get that rest. Stop worrying about exercising right now.

Kim...thanks for putting it back into perspective for me. You are so right...you told me before that it was weird, and it is. I'll get used to it. I'm not going to whine anymore either...it could be a whole lot worse. A few more days and the dizzies will be gone, and things will be back to normal.
I did do some stuff today...went and got my hair trimmed up....she had to even it out because they had to shave the hair around my ear...I just have to style it a different way for a few weeks. Then I took a 2+ hr nap, then I swept the hall, living & kitchen and dusted...now I'm done for the day. Gonna finish my hot chocolate and watch "FLIP THIS HOUSE".

The doctor called to check on me today. I told him I couldn't hear anything in the right ear, and that the dizzies were really getting old...FAST! He said the hearing would come back gradually over the next month, and if the dizzies haven't gone away in the next week to call him. He is really nice! If anyone needs a good ENT - Ear doctor....Dr. John Emmitt is the way to go!! Of course you'd have to travel to Memphis, but it would be worth it....good doctor, good bbq, and you could meet me!!! Wow...triple play!!

ok...i'm gonna sit here and veg out...watch the race (GO DENNY HAMLIN #11)
doze off and maybe do some christmas shopping online!

Hey, Marie. Hope your hearing gets back to normal soon and the dizzies go away!! In the meantime, take it easy and try to enjoy the chance to relax a bit!

Sorry to hear about your van!! At least everyone is ok, that is the most important thing! Do you have any ideas about what you will replace it with? Hope you have good luck on finding something! I'll send you some of our luck

That was nice of your Dr to call and make sure everything is going OK. My old Dr was like that (he called a couple days after he delivered each of my kids). My new one couldn't care less...

I hope everything works out with the van. Insurance can either be a snap or a nightmare...

Bionic Marie....i like that....although SUPER MARIE would be fine also!
Yeah, I went back to work today....probably should have only done 1/2 a day, but i'm too stubborn. Got pretty worn out around 3...real irritated....at EVERYTHING!! The ear is hurting pretty good tonight... kinda like that...only with an ice pick sticking out of it. Yeah...sorry for the graphic visual....but it's not a good feeling. TOM also attacked this morning...yeah, i'm a real peach to be around right now. I'm trying to stay positive...I know the healing will take time....anyway...

Ok...so I talked to the adjuster today...faxed her the police report..blah, blah, blah...and went and rented a van. I'm going out of town, and I need a vehicle....the insurance will cover it, but I didn't want to be stuck driving 500+ miles in a Dodge Neon!!
I think everything will be ok....going smoothly so far. I don't know if they'll total the van or not...not worried about it right now. If they do, we'll start shopping for another one....if they don't, they better make darn sure it's put back together the right way!!

ok....pain pill needs to start working....

oh....i'm not paying attention to my food right now. I know I'm supposed to be walking and everything, but it's on hold for a while. I planned the 75 mile goal on the assumption that the surgery wouldn't put me out of commission...stupid assumption. Anyway....i'll get back on track soon...just don't know when yet.

Sorry that you're having pain in your ear. I hope that goes away really fast. And that's good news that things are moving along with your van claim. Things like that stink to deal with.

I am SO glad you'll be going to see your mom for Thanksgiving. It'll be good for you to get out of your house and be with her. You both need each other.

I've only got a minute...gotta pack and get the house cleaned up! Can't go out of town with a dirty house!!

Today was good.....I mixed my medications...now that was a good time!!! I started getting a migraine, so I took 2 extra strength tylenol....then my ear started stabbing, so I took a lortab. Can you say DUMB@$$??
Really cool floating feeling for about an hour!!
All better now...hopefully I didn't screw anything up during that time!!

I'm so ready to get out of this town!!!
Gonna go finish up....i'll check in tomorrow while we're on the road!

Goodness you certainly have had a lot going on! I'm glad the surgery went well and hope the side effects will go away soon. I'm VERY glad that your family is all ok after the accident - how very scary! Hopefully the insurance will go smoothly.

And yes, I remember the Bionic Woman . Does that make me old?
