Margarittaville Drink Recipes

Since today is my last day of vacation before teacher work week, I have myself convinced that I need a Margarittaville Frozen Concoction Maker. I just know if I run right out any buy one it will extend my summer. Besides, my blender just broke and it makes sense to buy one of these contraptions instead. It's bigger, more expensive and makes boozy drinks wonderfully.

Just in case I break down and buy one does anyone have any fun frozen drinks they like. I don't think the machine comes with recipes so I'm looking for both alchoholic (much preferred) and non alchoholic (just seems right to ask).

Love our Margaritaville machine! It does come with recipes, but our favorite is 1/2 can limeade, 1/2 can gold tequila, and a pour of triple sec. Easy! The real secret to getting the perfect texture is to let the ice sit in the ice compartment for ten or fifteen minutes before shaving and blending. Enjoy!

The machine comes with a great little recipe book!

We love margaritas (classic lime and mango are my favorites). And Pina Coladas are a big hit (a little Pina Colada mix, a little rum, and add a shot of orange juice to make it a Creamsicle!)

You need to run out and pick up your concoction maker. NOW.

This is one of my favorites and the machine is awesome! My kids love to make yogurt smoothies in it.

Last Mango in Paris
Ingredients
1-1/4 oz. Margaritaville® Last Mango Tequila
2 oz. Margaritaville® Mango Margarita Mix
Preparation
Combine ingredients in Margaritaville blending jar.
Blend and pour into a 12 oz. glass.
Squeeze a wedge of lime into the frozen drinks

It shaves the ice and then blends the shaved ice into the drinks, instead of just cutting the ice up as it blends like regular blenders do. I used to make frozen drinks with my Kitchenaid, and then got the frozen concoction maker for Christmas. There's a big difference in the drinks - the texture is much better, less chunky and more smooth, like those served in restaurants. I love my Kitchenaid blender, but I wouldn't go back to using it for beverages.

Ditto what Scurvy said. I even found that it blends better than my kitchen aid blender. I shave ice and use it for slushies for the kids.

OP, you can put any sort of drink mix in. I love love love mango margaritas, but I don't like the margaritaville mango mix. It tastes artificial. I do like the pre-made standard margarita mix and I just mix in mango nectar or juice and add a bit more tequila. And a dash of tabasco. I always just play around with my drinks and rarely measure anything.

I made some really good watermelon drinks the other day. Just chopped up and blended the watermelon. Then added a bit of rum and maybe some sugar. Topped with mint! The kids went crazy for this too (minus the rum).

I really really love this machine. I got mine from Sam's pretty cheap too!

I love my Key West! I make slushies for the kids with Kool-aid, juice or pop.

Just be sure that whatever you use, it's extra cold. If not, it melts the ice quickly and waters it down. I usually put the bottle, can, mix...in the freezer about an hour before I'm going to use it.

DH bought me the carrying case for Mother's Day a few years ago. At first I thought that it was goofy but I can't tell you how many times I've used it. Once our friends found out that I had the machine, they all asked me to bring it over when they had a party, picnic or just a gathering.
