I have been reading alot of things on the boards about this restaurant and it sounds like it might be something we would like to try during our stay at HRH in June. I was wondering what is the theming here and I thought I read something about a volcano erupting - is this true? Would a 7 year old enjoy this restaurant, she is not a picky eater. What type of food do they serve and can you make reservations or priority seatings? Do they serve both lunch and dinner?

The restaurant has a Caribbean beach theming. The food is pretty good. Try the Cheeseburger in Paradise.

we tried margaritaville....if you are a jimmy buffet fan, then it hsould be fun....we were there for over an hour, and still never wsaw the volcano erupt,a nd we all thought the food was bad...they ahve a typical menu, easy to feed a kid off of, but the four in my party did not like th e food....

We ate at Margaritaville while we were there last week. Both of my children (10 & 17) enjoyed it. You can see the menu on the Universal website. I especially liked the nachos, and it was enough for a snack or lite meal for 2 or 3.

Margaritaville

I hope I did the link right!

we ate there last week and loved it. The volcano erupted 2 or three time while we were there but we didn't have a good view. We did have a great view of the band playing but they were very loud and it bothered our 3yr DD. Our 11yr DS would have stayed and listened to the them forever though. They didn't start playing until 10:00 so usually we would have been out of there before they started playing.
The food was very good. I had the crab cakes, DS had fajitas, DD had chicken fingers,DH had chickn salad ( I think).

hey, by the way what comes out of the volcano? If anyone knows please respond, we're just curious. thanks!!! :)

Great atmosphere...so so food...the best thing is the Nachos. Cheeseburger in Paradise huge disappointment. We go here for a snack and a drink...we have a great meal at the Latin Quarter.

The volcano shoots out margaritas and its collected in a big cup at the bar below.

I heard from a server a few days ago that soon they're going to have a 6,000 gallon Margarita outside to break a world record.

The burgers were okay, but not as good as the first time we were there about 6 months ago.

hey chrisfl, thanks for the reply, it was just a silly question, but we were just curious, thanks for taking the time to answer.
