Margaritaville Reservations

According to Open Table and the Margaritaville website, they don't take reservations anymore. I know that I have made reservations there twice in the last 2 years. Is this true? No more reservations? When did this happen? I really liked knowing that I had at least one place that takes them. Our other choices this trip, Cowfish and Toothsome, don't:( Although, the Cowfish app is useful.

Cowfish app is useless most of the time. If it ever worked for you, you've been lucky.
for this one as well as toothsome, you need to provide a phone number at the podium, on the day of, and they text a table ready notification. That's basically the only way to make it to the waiting list
 
I made reservations at margaritaville last October over the Columbus Day holiday. They are a bit of a cluster though when it comes to deluxe hotel priority seating.
I think the reservation was for about 12 people.

We were told for groups of 8 or more, reservations would be issued

I know that I made reservations for parties of 2 or 3 for March 2015 & 2016 and July 2016 via Open Table. I guess they just recently got rid of it. We used the Cowfish app from our room in HRH in March 2016 to get on the wait list. We got notification as we were walking over that our table was ready. So, I have only used it once, but I have known other people who have used it. I knew Toothsome didn't do reservations though. Oh well, I guess DS and I will be standing around waiting a lot Memorial Day weekend.
 
I just looked up their number and called. Said I wanted to make a reservation and they said ok. They didn't ask me for how many before they said ok. Like I said, they are all over the chart as far as policies and have pissed me off a few times. Once, I was told they weren't busy enough to do priority seating and once told they were too busy to do priority seating. Poor management and the food has gone down hill in my opinion.

That's certainly true about the food........

We used to rave about Margaritaville for food, but last 2 visits, particularly the last visit made the decision for us not to eat there again.

Poor quality food, not cooked correctly and very strange tasting jerk sauce all added to a very unique last experience....we will go back and have cocktails at night, but won't eat there again........

Cocktails and pretzel sticks will be about it for me also!

We have always had good luck with the food. However, I always get the same thing, coconut shrimp. Love the drinks too:) Maybe I have had too many by the time the food comes:rotfl2: We actually had incredibly good service in July. We sat upstairs, and I think it was pretty busy. There was a bit of a delay with our server coming over, not horrible though. He apologized profusely and gave us a free appetizer.
 
That must be new! We just made a reservation in Dec for 2, but we honestly didn't need one the place was empty because they had just opened.
 
I made reservations for Margaritaville when we went on December 30th. It was a super busy time of year so I wanted to make sure we had a place to eat. I did notice that it couldn't be done on open table or through a website. I had to actually call.

Our food was amazing! I was impressed with how good it was. We have now eaten at three City Walk restaurants and Margaritaville is our favorite by far. (Other two were Toothsome and Antijioles - or whatever that place is called. I can never remember excatly - but the Mexican food place that starts with the letter A). Those were both fine but Margaritaville was soooooo good.

Yep, other than the pretzel sticks it's a watering hole, nothing more for us

I have had opentable reservations in the past in 8 - 8:30 pm range, arrived and was told 'they weren't busy' and went to open seating. o_O
 
Just went to the service desk across from Cinnabon in CityWalk yesterday. They said Hard Rock does not take reservations and Margaritaville does not do same day reservations. We were there yesterday so we made one for today and at that time the entire day was open.
