Mardi Gras Parties Worth It?

A couple of City Walk clubs have special parties on Mardi Gras nights where you get to hang out on the balconies, throw beads down to the crowd, etc. Has anyone bought tickets for them and do you think it was worth it?

DW and I did it in 03' at Pat O'Brians.It was pretty kool.The things people will do for beads!!!!!!!

So do you think it is better to stay at one place or just go clubbing around? This couple has never been to anything like City Walk or Mardi Gras and they will have all night, without the kids to worry about, plus they can stumble back over to the Hard Rock when they get tired of it. I just want them to have a good time.

I would get the party pass so they can see all the clubs.But I think the balcony party at Pats is gonna be extra.

I tell ya the Red Coconut is extremely nice bar with great music.Not too many people talk about it.And The Groove is like going to A Rave party.We enjoyed them all at one time or another.

Their only chance will be on a saturday night. The date is already set in stone, it's now just a matter of how to make the most of their time.

i personally wouldn't do it, but i'm from south louisiana. i can do mardi gras for 3 weeks for free & most of the time i skip it all together. but if you have never experienced mardi gras & make no plans to come to new orleans or further south, then go for it!
