Is it just me, or is this parade, kind of in your face? I am wondering if we should skip it on our trip?? A few years back, DD8 Was scared to death by a Pirates of the Caribean pirate at the MK parade. Ever since then, she has been very hesitant at parades. she's not big on loud, big masks or clowny looking things. I think we might like it but I think she may be overwhelmed by it all. Is this something we should miss? The pictures that I have seen look like it is a lot activity and in your face type of fun.

I don't think it's more in your face than the Disney parade. Performers come up to shake your hand or have pictures taken with you and the people on the floats through beads to you. You will have to decide what your daughter can handle but I see all ages of kids at the parade and they all love catching beads and showing them off.

I really don't think it's too bad. If you want, you guys can still watch it near Jaws. If you stand in that area in front of the entrance to the ride, there's plenty of room where you guys could stand far enough away to watch it but have it not in your face.

Thanks guys. I think we will play it by ear. It is our first night there. We will see if it fits in the schedule. The pirate in the MK parade really scared her. Actually, I think overly so. When he saw how frightened she was, he should have backed off, which he didn't. He kept at her. Since then, she is very hesitant about the parades. She's fine with the happy and familar characters she loves, like Mickey, etc., but if it something she doesn't know, I think she has flashbacks of that pirate.

Sounds like this one is not over the top. I actually would like to see 30 Seconds to Mars at the concert!!
