mardi gras parade/IOA-US short cut

Two quick questions. Where is the HRC shortcut between the two parks that I have read about ? Also, does anyone have advice about the Mardi Gras parade. Where is the best place to watch?How early do we have to get there? We are off the RP in less than two weeks. Yeah!!!

The HRC shortcut exits and enters by Nick Studios. Follow the signs to the entrance/exit. The shortcut only works with a handstamp. They have no scanners to read tickets.

As for Mardi Gras, I stood on Hollywood Blvd. and got a nice share of beads. Sometimes if you stand near the end of the route, the parade riders may run out of beads.

Barry, what is HRC? Are you saying that there is a shortcut to go from one park to the other? What do you mean it only works with a handstamp? I'm confused...

HRC is Hard Rock Cafe. It's not a direct shortcut from one park to the other, but is is a shorter route though the park-side of City Walk.

There's an exit/entrance where you can go from USF to the Hard Rock Cafe. It is on the right side of Hard Rock, and in front of the Nick Studios. It's considered a short cut because most pople don't know about it, so there are never any long lines at the turn stile.

I was able to go through it ith just my AP card, and no handstamp.
