Yes the park remains operational during all parades.
Do I have to lift my shirt to get beads?
If it follows the Macy's route a good location to double or triple your booty is on the Mummy side of the corner at Twister then run down 7th Ave. for an additional bead begging then up Delancy St. for a 3rd shot.

My family is so disappointed that ther won't be Mardis Gras in April. Last year we went almost every night. I called Universal and asked if ther would be anything special to replace it during Easter week and was told not at this time.

Well, that's because Mardi Gras happens on Feb 24th this year, it's early. I'm still surprised the marketing department still hasn't started advertising. It's NOW that we should be seeing TV ads in our local markets. Not in February when the date passes.

Last year, all I heard on the radio and TV we're Mardi Gras advertisments, and it got old fast, because the date had passed.

April is spring break for colleges. The public schools have it March 22-26, but college and others start to come in April.

I dunno, it's still a good month, because it's the calm before the storm in May/June, when the season really starts.

May has a steay guest flow, and park hours are generally 9-7/9-8. In June, it gets busier, as schools start letting out more and more each week. Park hours jump to 9-8/9-9 as the month goes on. After July 4th is when it gets SLAMMED.

Actually, , just FYI, for many colleges, spring break is in March. For many colleges, spring semester ends at the end of April.

We'll be down during our public school springbreak, the last week of March. And I am so excited that we will be there for the 3/27th parade and concert!! I didn't know anything about it before reading this thread. If anybody hears more about concert info during that time, please post it.
-probably better than the dive-in movie at HRH we were planning to see

check pollstar.com. Someone posted the concert schedule earlier and I saved the site but noone's on the schedule yet for 3/27. Probably saving the best for last. We'll be there for James Brown but I wish we were there for the B-52's!!!
