Mardi Gras Concerts

I keep waiting to see what the schedule is for the 2008 Mardi Gras. I always thought the schedule was out by now. Anyone heard any rumors?

The schedule should be released just after the first of the year.

I keep checking also if anyone sees it let us know.
We aren't planning on going to US but if I found out there was a great concert that we were interested in I'd change my plans.

Checking, we are going for Feb & April.
Last week was great, the Macy's Parade and Grinchmas, first time in 18 years we did Christmas, EXCELLENT.
I imagined it alot more Christmas-ier* as far as decorating though!

The Tree in NYC are of Universal was beautiful though!

I keep checking the schedule too.

Last year we saw Kasey & The Sunshine Band, very good, even our teen liked him! AAAA memories!!!
Huey Lewis was just as good, I was in college in the disco age, so this my music.......lol! I would of loved to see Daughtry!
I can't wait to see who's there this year!

I miss the warm weather, too cold here!!!

My DH and I will be at Universal on the weekend of February 9th and just noticed this on the Universal website: Mardi Gras Event Listing

I'm definately going to see the Go-Go's and Heart again...I saw Heart in 2006 at Universal and they were GREAT!

I hope the weather is better than last year.

Wow, shaping up to be the best line-up in years. Definitely see Heart, their 2006 show was incredible.

Of course, I guess this means I'm getting ancient if all the bands I grew up on (Go-Gos, Poison, 3d Eye Blind) are doing the "oldies" circuit.

My kids actually enjoyed the '06 Heart concert. They actually recognized a good number of the songs and as Jason71 and Metro West already mentioned, the concert was excellent. Don't forget, for example, that Fergie did a version of Barracuda that was used in Shrek the Third. They just might recognize more than you'd expect.

I saw the Go-Gos a few years ago when they were here and they gave a fantastic show! (I loved them when I was in H.S., yes I am old too!)

That's good to know. But is it possible to see the parade and the show?? Or is it already packed for the concert by the time the parade is over??
