Has anyone heard who they will have for entertainment Mardi Gras 09? Last year a friend was able to see Gretchen Wilson.

Universal probably won't release that information until January...once all the arrangements have been made.

That's a bummer. It would be nice to be able to plan a trip in advance if you want to see someone in particular.

Mardi Gras is only on Saturdays. There is a parade in the evening and then some entertainment.

It looks like this years we might be seeing something new.
Double Header Nights meaning Friday and Saturday night concerts.

Nothing is final but those are the rumors around the backlots.

LOL, everything old is new again...Friday/Saturday concerts were the rule back around the "turn-of-the-century" (say, 2000-2002). Would be a welcome return, especially if they do the parade both nights.

Friday night concerts wouls rule. We are leaving on Saturday and are sad we would miss a concert. Maybe we can join in Mardi Gras after all!!

About the only two i would want to see out of that line up would be Montgomery Gentry and Trace Adkins!!

With the two other bands I mentioned,I think USO would draw huge crowds with Dennis DeYoung of STYX-.38 special-and a huge huge headliner like???someone join in and say what a big headliner should be!!

Don't give up hope yet...I'm sure Universal will have top bands/entertainers there as always.

Hey guys. I was just on the phone making an adjustment to my Feb ressie (APH price decrease!) and the nice lady asked if I'd been watching the Uni website for events and I mentioned Mardi Gras. She told me that on Saturday Feb. 14th it would be Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons. At least I've heard of them, but nothing exciting for me. I'd rather have been there last year for Sara Evans! Just thought I'd share.
