Marching Band and ColorGuard buttons

We are hosting our annual invitational contest and I want to come up with some new & interesting buttons to sell. Nothing copyrighted or stolen but available for public use.

Does anybody have some good ones to share? Anything for students, parents, grandparents, instruments, guard, etc... can be used.

Do people buy buttons any more? I know they are cheep to make but are they worth the time? I know around here they would not sell. Some bands use buttons as their admission ticket but most have gone away from doing that too.

The real catchy phrases sell around here. We also sell grandparents and kid's buttons very well. The grandparents are good customers and things like "future drummer" do OK at times.

We don't put a lot of time in them but we usually sell 40-50/contest, enough to keep it going.

Look on cafepress, they have some funny slogans in their t-shirts for marching band. I was looking for a flute related shirt for DD when I saw some marching band ones.

I would think you could use some of the sayings and just add your own "art". You see pretty much the same sayings all over the place, just different designs.

Each year each section does a t-shirt. The saxophone section thinks they are being so creative by using "Battle of the Saxes"-cuz NO ONE has ever used that before .
