Hi all,

I am taking my 3 children out of school and thinking about a march trip for a week. Which would be the best week in march to go crowd wise? Any help is appreciated or suggestions to research. Thank you!

If going in March, the first week would be my pick. March is peak Spring Break season for Florida schools and schools throughout the Southeast, plus you still have lots of Snowbirds around, so it's very busy.

I agree with first full week of March. Tuesday March 1 is Mardi Gras, which brings a little uptick in visitors from Louisiana. March 14-18 is Spring Break for a lot of Texas school districts as well as colleges and universities. The farther into March you go, the more schools around the country will be on Spring Break.

I agree with the previous poster. We have taken many trips the end of February and the first week of March and had no problems with crowds. That's before spring break and school breaks.
NOW? I don't know if that holds true anymore. With the pent up travel things are not the same. However, spring break should remain the same. I would hope that the first of March is less crowded for you.

First week. Anything after that is likely to be Spring Break somewhere- at least for a lot of the Midwest. My kids’ break was always the second week in March it started out crowded but manageable and by Thursday it had become a sea of humanity. The more it progresses into March (and the closer to Easter) the busier it will be.

Plan for the worst, hope for the best. We have been mid march , no other choice, and the crowds were some of the worst we ever saw. Rivals Christmas week. Spring Break will be super busy. Just plan around and enjoy.
