Which would you pick for a 4 night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral and why? March or Mid-June? We would plan on going to WDW for 4 nights before or after the cruise as well.

I'm nervous that in June, there might be hurricanes but I've read that the ship avoids them pretty well? Also, is it unbearably hot? We don't want to be constantly sweating outside but we do like hot weather. I have heard about afternoon showers that happen in the summer. Does this happen in June often?

I'd probably pick March over June just because June would be summer = lots of people.

Afternoon showers in the Caribbean are more the norm than the exception. But they typically don't last long.

We've done 2 Fantasy cruises the first week of June and the weather was spectacular. Was a little warm at WDW but certainly not too bad, however I've spent the last 43 summers in AZ. Crowds at WDW during that time were minimal.

One piece of advice you didn't ask for but I'll give anyway is; if possible do WDW before the cruise. The cruise is very relaxing so it's nice to just chill after the go, go, go of WDW. Just my $.02

It would be the week before or after Easter... I should have clarified and June would be mid-June after school is out as I am a teacher. I would think crowds would be similar. We would ideally do the cruise after WDW as long as the dates work out! So am I hearing that weather isn't all that different in March vs. June? I'm from WI so I will notice the heat I'm sure but humidity is what isn't enjoyable :)

We have cruised and done WDW early June and we didn't think the crowds and/or heat was THAT bad. I don't know if mid June is different. End of July was sweltering. I have heard that the weeks surrounding Easter are horrible at WDW but we have never been there then. We have cruised a couple times in March- sometimes we have found the weather a little chilly (but we are doing it again in 2017 so obviously the weather didn't keep us from doing it again).

Honestly, I have lived in Florida my entire life and never once was there a hurricane in June. Peak of the season is August - October for hurricanes.

Frankly, spring break crowds are far worse than most of the summer. I'm a teacher as well; I had to move my February cruise due to my administration no longer being supportive of us taking personal leave. It was significantly more to cruise during spring break than it was the first week of June. And that's saying something, as I'm frustratingly paying almost double what I was paying for early February.

Basically, spring break crowds start in early March and go to early May ... The parks get filled with band trips and it's insane. Then again, there honestly is no such thing as a "slow" season, anymore. Not like it used to.

We just choose whichever we can get a better deal on. Usually there is one week in March where it isnt crowded and the price is pretty good. The summer months always seem to be busy and expensive.
