Update: Well I posted too soon. Flights are now crazy crazy expensive in March, like hundreds more per person. So June it is!

I realize that all crowd predictions are off because of Covid and we don't know what will happen for attendance. But we had a trip planned in Sep 2021 and we cancelled that because of Delta numbers, then we moved it to Feb 2022 but we're looking at cancelling that because of Omicron and also we don't really want to have my kid miss a week of school after all. So now we're looking at either our spring break (Mar 19-26) or mid to late June. Normally I wouldn't consider coming at any time that was close to peak, we usually would come during slower times and just miss school, but he's older now so missing school is harder. We have 4 day hoppers, so we have a lot of time to do everything we want to do. Sit down dining isn't something I care about, so no worries on not being able to get restaurant reservations.

From crowd calendars they look about the same, so I'm not sure one had a big advantage over the other on crowds. Prices appear to be about the same for our flights and hotels. Weather- March would seem cooler (that's a plus, we don't like heat), I know we'll miss Roger Rabbit since that will close. Fireworks won't be every night but that's ok.

What would you pick between the March dates or June and why? I'd love to hear any experiences you've had if you've attended during these times.

I can think of two upsides to going late June over Spring Break. The first, two of the lower tier keys are blocked in late June. That means there will be less locals that have the ability to go when you're there. It could still be busy but you would have most of your Spring Days have no blockouts for Key holders. The second is most of the entertainment that's coming back would definitely be there in late June. A lot is coming back this Spring but may not be fully up and running by then such as the Main Street Electrical Parade and Fantasmic.

I've seen others say late June isn't actually that bad, crowd wise. Touring Plans can be iffy but they're showing 4s and 5s the last week of June versus 5 to 8 that Spring Break week. Another good guide is to look at the single day ticket price that Disney sets. If it's in tier 4 or 5, they expect it to be really busy. They won't have the prices for June until next month as it goes 6 months out.
