I am planning a 2007 trip for my family of 4. My DS is 4.5 and my DD is 2.5. I am a teacher so my 2 choices are March 17-24 OR June 2-9. Which one should I book? What are the pros and cons of each? I am assuming both are high crowd times!! Thanks!

I think that March is a bit less crowded than June--the weather is certainly cooler. In March, there are both college kids and other families on Spring Break, But I think you'd be there for the Flower and Garden Festival, which is wonderful. In June, you'd be there during the Star Wars Weekends, which are also fun. www.allears.net has some good information about that as well.

Hopefully I can help! I've been during BOTH those times.

I thoughts the crowds were about the same, but the weather...oh man! The weather was MUCH nicer in March. SO humid in June. We are desert rats, so that wet heat was killing us! On the days it was too unbearable, we just left, went for a swim at the hotel, took a shower and then went back to the parks.

Disney Studios will be more crowded during the StarWars weekends, but usually only over by Star Tours.

I've been during both time too and add my vote for March. The weather was much nicer and the humidity wasn't as bad. The kids got to swim in March too. Having the air a little chilly in the early morning or late evening was a nice respite from the warmer afternoons.

Another vote for March. We have been both times and the weather differences alone are worth it. The crowds will be about the same, in fact maybe a little more crowded in June. March is warm enough to swim, definitely warm enough for the waterparks. You can catch a Braves game at WWOS during Spring Training.

We've visited both time periods over the years. On average, our experience has been that the resorts and parks are less crowded during the 1st week of June than in mid-March.

I don't know of anything specifically scheduled for your dates in March, but there are times when cheerleader, dance, or some sports competitions add to the crowds in March.

Expect the MK to be very crowded on Saturday, June 2, due to Gay Days at the MK. The summer crowds probably wont' begin to build significantly until the week of June 10 and June 17...

I've been to WDW at the beginning of March (before spring break crowds) and early June. Crowds aside, I would still pick June in a heartbeat! The weather was perfect. I hope that we can fit in another trip in March in the next year or two. Also, your countdown ticker will look a lot better for March! ;)

I was just there this June, the same week you're thinking of going and it was HOT HOT HOT!!! The crowds were not that bad, but the heat was so oppressive it really put a damper on the vacation. The temps were in the upper 90s every day and very humid.
I would definately choose March because even though the crowds might be a little larger, the cooler weather will make queues easier to take. We didn't ride some things because nobody could face standing in line in the heat. (you can only have so many FastPasses at once!)

I'm a teacher also and have been during both of those times as well. I'll have to agree that March is the best. The heat in June is very draining. This year we were there for 11 days in March and didn't have rain once. We did 3 waterpark days and swam all the others. Sure, it was somewhat crowded, but we were able to do so much by using fastpass and avoiding EE days.

We will be there the same week in March, and we went about that same time this year. The weather was beautiful, the crowds were big but nothing outrageous about what you'd expect. So my vote is March! :)

When we were there (it's been a couple of years) the crowds did not seem any bigger than the first week of June. The school groups did not bother us. They were there on the weekends, none were there that I could tell, during the week. We stayed at AS Sports and didn't see any even on the weekends. We did hear them one night but it didn't bother us.
