I just booked a flight from March 7 - 14th (yes, week before March break).
I booked with AirTransat, non-stop, out of Pearson for a total of $1393.64 (incl taxes/fees) That's for 4 people!
I thought that was a great price and couldn't pass it up.
I leave in two weeks for WDW out Pearson with Air Canada and that was a great deal as well. For the four of us, non-stop, $1160 (incl taxes/fees)
:dance3:

Not sure where you are located but have you looked at fares out of Buffalo? If you are close enough, my bet is that they are close to half that. Two of us fly out of Detroit and if it isn't under $150.00 return per person, I figure I'm paying too much.

However, if driving to Buffalo is not your thing, they you got a great price out of Toronto.

That's a good price! I paid about $2200 for 6 seats leaving in two weeks with Canjet from Toronto. I also paid $1350US for 6 seats from Feb 23 to March 3 on Jetblue from Buffalo. But leaving on November 28 from Buffalo was actually the same price (US THanksgiving weekend) which is why I am flying Toronto this time. Have fun!

2gr8Disneykids....I am worried you might have waited too long. I booked March 10-20 YUL to MCO direct on AirTransat - great flight times for $440 each taxes incld but booked back in August. The flight doesn't even show up anymore. I do know Airtransat flys direct on fridays out of Ottawa to Orlando - at least last time I checked. GOOD LUCK!

Congrats on the fare! You guys are so lucky having cheap fares from the east.
So much more expensive from the west coast, I have to make the 3 hr drive down to Seattle to get an affordable fare.

Another nice thing about flying from the US to WDW is that you can do luggage check in at your resort. When we fly from Canada, we have to take our bags off DME and check them at the airport ourselves going home. Not a huge deal, but nice to drop them off at the airline desk at the resort, and not see them till we land :goodvibes

3 hours is not bad at all.

Halifax is 2+ hours from Moncton - but the savings are not always that great.

If I want better airfare, we have to fly out of Maine or NH - which is close to 8 hours (one way)

Wow that's $290 each taxes in. Whenever I've look on the AC site it's always $500-700 taxes in. How did you manage that price?

Those $290 fares are offered off season, mid week and usually late flight times. Also shocked that was an Air Canada Fare -usually find these with Sunquest or Air Transat.

Care to share what your flight times and days are tink? It's an awesome deal for sure.

We always fly out of US since we are amily of 5. I checked those dates to see how it compares to AirTransat. Both are nonstop flights.

Southwest leaving March 7 - $94 + tax = $104.70
AirTran leaving March 14 - $105 + tax = $115.70
Total Return $220.40 X 4 tickets = $881.60

Flying from Buffalo represents a savings of $520.00 approximately! Living in Oakville is an easy drive down to Buffalo.

Booked with Delta as soon as they opened and got $99 plus tAX BOTH WAYS FOR A TOTAL OF $260 PER PERSON Canadian

My Dates : March 6-14/2011

Out of Bangor....

Wow what a fantastic price!! :thumbsup2 I only wish I could find that price now...looking like we'll be making the drive to Boston and flying from there. Can't even get good prices from Portland :confused3

Rainbowmist, have a look at Manchester NH when you're looking at Boston. SW flies from Manchester too. (As does Continental and some of the other majors--not AirTran or Jetblue though.) It's not a lot closer than Logan (according to Google maps, but I don't quite believe it), but you aren't going into Boston. Manchester is my favourite airport. I may have mentioned that. ;)

I've been keeping watch on that as well however the prices are REALLY high:eek: I'm worried I may have waited too long! Last year we hit a really sweet deal direct from Halifax but I think those days are long gone! :sad2:

I've found first thing Tuesday morning and sometimes early on Sat morning, SW has cheaper seats available. We got down for $109 each and back for $123 each. Including tax, a little under $1100 for the four of us, for the Canada Games break in Feb. I've seen both prices come up again since I purchased a week or two ago (but I'm still stalking the site for a better flight home). Good luck!

Actually I'm in the opposite boat..I've found a really good deal for the way home..non-stop with Jet Blue MCO to BOS..but it's getting there that's giving me the problems. If I could leave on a Tuesday or Wednesday it wouldn't be a problem but I'm restricted to Fri, Sat and Sunday's :sad2: Delta does have a pretty good price for one on the Saturday but there's a stop over in Washington and it's into Tampa...I hate flying so I always try to fly non-stop. I may be making an exception this year. One question I'm wondering..if there's a stop over and you have to switch planes but you stay with the same carrier do you have to pay the baggage fees twice? :confused3

Thanks for your suggestions :goodvibes

Nope, assuming it is a changing planes/connection and not an overnight stop-over.

If it a true connection you pay once for the whole flight. We connect all the time and you only pay once to go from start to end destination. It is also important to note that if you book through AC but it is a code share with United you STILL OWE for bags since you are really flying United.

Hope that helps. :goodvibes

I leave Mon., Nov 29 at 8:50pm and return Wed., Dec 8th at 2pm.
We booked back in the spring after someone posted on Disboards about Air Canada having a big sale and I jumped at it!

We have flown out of Buffalo so many times and yes, flight prices ranged from about $680US for the 4 of us to $900US. Ninety percent of the time it was always a connecting flight somewhere.
We've grown tired of spending a whole day of travelling. With the almost two and a half hour drive to Buffalo, then flying all day, we figured our time and energy was worth more. Now we have only a twenty-five minute drive to the airport and only a two and a half hour flight. Thats well worth $1160!

Our March flight on the 7th is at 6:30am and returns the following Monday sometime in the afternoon. Again, well worth the just under $1400 in my books! :yay:

Wow...we (4 people) are going March 12 to 19, 2011 and I can't find anything out of Pearson.....buffalo is a possiblity, but I want non-stop and it's roughly the same cost when you include driving, exchange, etc.
