March Dolphin deals

What rates are you finding for the Swan/Dolphin this March? We are thinking of staying there next March, and I am curious as to what they are charging. Has anyone found a good deal?

I took a look, and if that is as low as their rates go, I am looking elsewhere. I was hoping someone had found a great rate and wanted to share how they got it.

We've received deals from various sources for S/D. We joined Starwood and found deals at SPG.COM not available elsewhere for teachers, nurses and government employees. We've found the same discount at SWANDOLPHIN.COM and Dreams Unlimited. Also, try calling directly to S/D and asking if a discount is available to you. Starwood also has discounts for Seniors and AAA members. DU and the direct call to S/D may also net you an AP discount if you're a passholder.

That said, we've seen discounts for S/D in March become more rare over the last few years. This March we ended up booking the Boardwalk through a DVC member but we did get 5 days in Oct. '07 at Swan for $169.

I was able to book rooms at $125/night. Not sure if March was included, but there were a lot of dates.

I've been successful at times calling the S/D directly and asking for an AP discount. I've gotten $159 and $179 just by asking. They offer discounts which are easily found on the resort boards here on the DIS but the dates are limited. For instance, we got $125 at the Swan this summer but that was only for Aug/September dates. I think there are some April and May dates for $199.

Anything below $229 at this point - that's a bargain for a deluxe hotel at Disney and I consider the S/D a true deluxe. We love the Poly and I remember the days when we would get an AP rate of $199 or $229, but those days are gone. Long gone. I remember paying $169 at the YC/BC too.
