So, how is everyone getting on with their 'I'm going to fit into a bikini/tankini/swimsuit/shorts this Summer if it kills me' diet ? :rotfl::rotfl:

After January dragging and feeling like it lasted forever, it feels like February passed in a flash, so how do you feel your diet is going now we are entering March ? Please share your experiences, good or bad and let's see if we can give each other a bit more encouragement and motivation

:wizard::wizard: Good Luck this month everyone :wizard::wizard:

Personally I have struggled this month, and once again I have STS. I sat down yesterday and had a good think about my diet, and I'm going to try and cut out bread and a few more snacks, and hopefully that will make a difference with my weigh-in next week

:wizard: Good luck with your weigh-ins this week everyone :wizard:

I am ashamed to say that my recent weekend in London yielded a gain of 2lbs ... very disappointing especially as we walked about 3 - 5 miles each day. Since I came home I have carried on conforting eating as I feel very fed up, so need to desperately get back on track else I will undo the good work I did last month. Took 2 weeks to lose 2lbs .. and 3 days to find it again ... something not quite fair about that :mad::mad:

 It's so disheartening when a weekend can undo your good work isn't it ? :wizard: Good luck at getting back on track Sarah, and fingers crossed for a good loss next week

I lost 1lb this week, this is where I usually loose all motivation and end up undoing all the hard work and have to start again, I am determind to break that cycle this time and see this through . Fingers crossed :wizard:

Well done Rachel.:goodvibes

:yay: That's a great weight loss so far Andrea :wizard: I hope you get to a stone this week

I am a bit disappointed to have STS again this week. I feel like I've eaten properly, and I've been to zumba a couple of times, but still no loss, oh well, fingers crossed for next week :wizard:

Hi Mandy! A sts is still better than a gain so keep the chin up :)

I know I'm new but I just joined weight watchers a few weeks ago and am loosing about 1lb per week including this week, loving this forum helping me to keep motivated :cool1:

well done :thumbsup2

I have lost a 1lb this week making 10lbs in total, next week is going to be very hard as I seem to have a bithday to celebrate on every day and Sunday is mothers day I am going to try really hard but not too confident :wizard:

Its sooooooo tough isn't it???

There always seems to be something, st.patricks day, mothers day, birthdays, confirmations, anniversary's, nights out lol

But lately iv'e been trying to tell myself that if I just make the right choices at these events it will be worth it in the long run eg. choose fruit salad instead of super double chocolate cake for dessert lol (much easier said than done:rotfl:)

How good would it feel to be x amount of pounds lighter....fit into a dress a size down and look and be fabulous....i reckon it would feel better than the chocolate cake so thats whats keeping me on track at the moment! :woohoo:

:)

Hi all!

I didn't even know this thread existed, so I am super happy to have found it. I am in the embarrassing position of having 168lb (12 stones!!) to lose.... ridiculous. I genuinely don't know how this happened. ('I ate too much' would seem an obvious starting point, lol).

We are really hoping to go to WDW next Easter but if I don't lose the weight there is just no point as I won't be able to stand being stuck in the aircraft seat with an extension belt on, for 9 hours. I don't fit on a lot of the ride seats (unless you count a row in an "Its a small world" boat, as a single seat :rotfl2:) and I would never manage all the walking. Its bad enough now at DLP!

So.... I'm doing the Lighter Life weight loss programme (the one Pauline Quirke has just done). It is really drastic, because you only have 4 foodpacks (shakes/soups etc) each day and absolutely no conventional food at all. :scared1: The benefit is that it gets the weight off quickly, you have 90 minutes counselling every week to re-train your mental relationship with food, and once you get to your goal weight you go on a 12 week route to management programme, where you really gradually replace food packs with normal food, so your metabolism has time to catch up.

I have such a long way to go, I'm scared I can't do it - but I love WDW so I just have to.

Good luck to us all! :grouphug:

:cool1: Well done on losing another pound Rachel, I need to be good this week too as next weekend it's my DD's birthday and Mother's Day and we've got a family gathering and hoping to go to TGI's as well :wizard: Good luck to us all

Sometimes I think we concentrate too hard on the scales, instead of focusing on how much better our clothes are fitting, I think I will always be the kind of person who would always be 'happier if I lost another 1/2 a stone' instead of thinking how much better a dress is looking on me

Welcome to our dieting thread Rachel, it's lovely to have you here. I can't think of a better motivation than WDW to encourage you to lose weight. Well done on joining Lighter Life, please keep up updated on your weight loss. I'm sure they set you mini targets to keep you focused so :wizard: Good luck hun, and I hope it's not long till you reach your first target ::yes::

I will start this post as I start most posts "I haven't been here for a while". Anyway it has been a few weeks but I return today with good news, I am 1lb lighter than last time and am chipping away at my goal.

Hope to check in more often (and elephants might fly).

Good luck to all and well done to others.

Stephen

I think I forgot to post that last week I lost 3lbs ... although effectively 2lbs of that was my previous week's gain from my trip to London, so I made a net loss of 1lb ... taking my total weight loss since starting out on this endeavour to 8 lbs. Hope to make my total loss to 10lbs by the end of March and work on getting to a stone loss by the end of April ... slow and steady and hopefully I will get to my target weight loss of 1.5 stones by July. I am looking forward to the lighter warmer evenings so that I can go out walking. :thumbsup2 I also haven't been zumba-ing lately because of work so ideally I need to pick that back up.

Anyways ... sticking to the low fat calorie controlled diet ... ( mostly ) and thats the story so far :goodvibes

Good luck everyone for the week ahead :woohoo:
