March 6... Express Pass? Or get there EARLY?

We are planning on doing both Universal and IOA in 1 day. We will be there March 6, and according to the website, the express passes are only 15/25 for these days.

My question is, if we get there around opening, can we do most of IOA in the morning/early afternoon, then do Universal in the afternoon? Or am I going to have to buy an express pass for atleast one of the parks.

Also, which is better to do early mornings? IOA because the lines will be short, or Universal because most everyone else are riding rides in IOA.

Yes, it's can be done, arrive the parking garage at 8am. Walk to the turnstyle and get in line. Start at IOA and take a lap. For the thrill ride tour, you'll do
Hulk (front row, back row), Dr. Doom, Spiderman, Pteranondon Flyers, Deuling Dragons (front both sides), JPRA (back row), then head over to USF.
Take advantage of single rider lines on The Mummy, MIB, ride Jaws, ET, and then it's up to you what's next.

The crowds show up at 11am. You'll have 2 hours of IOA to yourself. This can be done on any day of the year. For peak times, they actually open IOA at 08:30am, but they don't officially write it down, just happens.

If u get to IOA on opening its possible to get round all the rides and be finished by 11-12am. Thats including numerous rides on the hulk and duelling dragons. It all depends on whether u just wanna go on the rides or walk about and take it all in

I suggest you wait before buying express and just see if you actually need it when you are there. Do get there early and do IoA. You probably won't need it at IoA, if you are there early. Then go to Universal. If the wait times are longer than you want to wait at Universal, just buy the express for Universal once you are there.
