March 5th through March 12th

My husband and I have been there several times during the first weeks of March. The crowds are usually not all that bad.

Of course, if you are fortunate enough to stay on-site, you will have front of the line access and even if the parks are crowded, you shouldn't have any problems with being able to get on the rides.

Hope you have a great time!:cool1:

This is when I will be at Universal, anyone have a guess on how the crowds wil be?
The two best ways to guesstimate the crowd level is to look at the park hours and the Express Plus pass cost for your dates.

Park hours: with the exception of 3/6 for Mardi Gras, both parks close at 6pm which is normal closing time. On 3/6, the park closes at 8pm for Mardi Gras and the headliner concert that night is Akon. The park will be VERY crowded that night and will start to fill up in the afternoon.

Express Plus cost: whatever the cost is for your dates is an indication of the anticipated crowd for that day. Again...with the exception of 3/6, the EP's are $25.99 for the two park pass which is the cheapest price on their scale. Just an FYI...3/6's Express pass cost is $45.99 for the two park pass.

So...based on the Express cost and park hours the crowds should be light with the exception of 3/6 at the Studios which will be VERY busy.

We will also be there March 5-12, the only day we think will be remotely crowded is March 6th and we have HRH booked for that day

Even on the 6th I wouldn't expect it to be very bad until mid afternoon when locals start showing up for a few rides before the Mardi Gras parade and concert.

We are far more worried about the weather than the crowds. So far the forecasts only go up to February 20th and it's mid 50's but does indicate a warming trend. We're hoping for mid 60's to 70's by March. So far it's been a really rotten winter weatherwise.

Thanks for all the great info. I figured it might be a little busier the 6th but thats ok because I am actually going to visit my mother down in Bradenton that day. I am also worried about the weather, we went to disney last year at this time and the only days it was warm was the last 2, my girlfriend wasn't very happy and she doesn't want the same thing to happen again but as long as it could be in the high 60's i think that would be nice. :)

I can handle the cooler weather just fine but some of the others in our party would love to take the kids to Typhoon Lagoon while we are there, so I hope the weather cooperates for at least 1 day.
