March 31-April 7, 2007 Eastern...3rd try :-)

Wow - add us to the list of actually seeing a "cruise pile" on the bedroom floor! I can't wait! Am anxious for the little ones to get a chance to start the cruise already knowing some kids...I think DH and I will splurge and get a bottle of champagne for the sail away! Kathleen

We are at the Residence Inn too! Arriving on Thursday evening late. Planning on bringing on the rolling cooler with a couple bottles of wine and some water bottles!

Anybody of the DISBOARDers on this cruise that was on the West Coast cruise (first time I have been on the boards since the last trip!)?

See you all on Saturday!

Welcome to the group! We were on one of the West Coast trips(end of June) and we've booked another for when they come in 2008! See you all Saturday!

My DD woke up at 3:30am crying. Took her to the doctor to be safe since she did not seem like herself the day before. Good thing. She has the beginings of an ear infection. It is her first one ever. Thankfully it was this week and not next.

We are half packed now.

Hopefully, if all goes well tonight I will be updating the cruise list tomorrow morning for those begining their travels Thursday.

Just a few more days.

I'm sure that I can find this information somewhere, but can someone tell me what time the ship departs from both St. Marten and St. Thomas? On the website, it says "aboard" at 7:00 and 4:30 respectively. Two comments:

Are these the actual sailing times or times to be on board? Also, is this the time the ship typically sails from from St. Maarten? I thought that this departure time was earlier from previous cruises.

Those are all aboard. The ship typically leaves within 30min of that.

I know last March 4:30 was the time we left St. THomas and evening sounds right for St. Maarten. The ship is always later at St. Maarten.

Hopefully I answered your question. It is late and I am a bit loopy

I can officially say my "vacation" start today. We drive to Detroit today "weds" to stay at the westin and catch an early flight on thurs. I'll be at the WL swimming in the new pool on thurs!! Woot! :wizard:

Me... I haven't even started packing and not sure I'll end up with a single door sign after all that preparation...

:(

But

CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know where we dock in St. Thomas next week?

Minnesota:
I had the same question...I booked a non-DCL excursion for St Thomas/St John and those running the excursion would like to know where we are docking, as they haven't received the schedule yet from the port. I read somewhere that there are times when the tender and times when there aren't. Any rhyme or reason behind this? :confused3

I packed the bulk of my daughter's and my things on Monday evening, but things keep popping up to pack. How do you all manage carry-ons? I know for a fact we will have at least 1 purse, 1 laptop bag (yes, I have to do some work while onboard :guilty: ), and a camera bag...I wouldn't doubt that we will have at least one other carry-on besides...How do we do this without looking and feeling like pack horses? Please help me out, those of greater experience :worship:

I actually checked last night to see if the docking schedule for April was up yet. It was still through March.

It looks like it is about every 6 cruises that they tender. If that is the case we will not be tendering. looks like the Magic Anchored on March 21.

Here is the website if you want to look

Dixie-if you need me to do a sign for you I might be able to squeeze it in tomorrow. I can print it or email it to you.
PM with what info you want.

I appologize if I missed anything. I wanted to add all of the residence inn people, but I lost track.

WHOOHOO!!!! :cool1: We leave tonight, flight is about 10pm so we'll officially be in Florida this time tomorrow!!! Last minute packing to do, see you all soon! :cheer2:

Can you believe it, we all leave on Saturday. DW stayed up till 3 am making the door signs. We still got to finishing packing and getting last inute things. I can't find beach shoes...got to go to Walmart and get another pair...DW needs to go too...just in case she missed something... we are running out of time... the boys went to supercuts and got there hair cuts, it looks good but of course they think its too short. I say save the money and go to the barber shop, but no they wanted Supercuts. They are all excited about our trip of a life time. DD had to be pushed out the door to go to school this morning...I am sure she won't sleep tonight thinking about the trip. I hope every body has a safe trip to the ship and see you later. Oh I still need to buy some red wine...

Ready4fun-If you cannot find them there I now both the Walmarts and Targets in Florida have the water shoes.

We are only half packed, but at least we have tomorrow as well as tonight.

I have a few more door signs I would like to make, but I am Ok if I do not get to it.

Less than 2 days to go.

Michelle

ok...

4th timer here and i have to say MAJOR kudos to cruisecrzy. If you didn't work for the Mouse.. you should. Thanks SO much for being the queen of this thread. I guess we have less players cause it's spring break and there will be a lot of pseudo Mickey people on the cruise. But for those of you here... three cheers for cruisecrzy!!!! :dance3:

I just packed bag.. (hmmm.. underwear.. socks... shorts.. pants... tux... suit... shoes... w/o stuff --- yes i need to lose every pound i gain on this cruise and about 100, :rolleyes1 ) and am working on the GPS 'toy' i just bought. gave up on door signs (sorry cruisecrzy... too manyhours at office but i'll let u play w/ the GPS system --- if i can figure it out).

So.. DW, exhausted from our refinishing basement, is .. pseudo packed. I'm working from home tomorrow.. then off on air tran at 5...

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :hourglass

i will be the one at the meet w/ two wonderfull kids: Andrew 10 and Katie 12.. and a beautiful wife Phyllis -- still 21. Me.. i'm the one with the cameras.... you'll know

so... if your new to cruise.. get to the DIS meet cause the sail away party will be AWESOME!!!

Dixielandings- Thank you for the kind words. You made me laugh. I told you I would have made you a door sign. I have a few hour if my daughter takes a nap. Tell me what you want on it and I'll get to photoshopping.

We plan on leaving the house at 9:00am so we should be at the port around 10am. :yay:

I guess we will not be able to tell mu DH from Dixielandings as he too will be bogged down with cameras. He is our pack mule.

I am off to playin the pool and countdown the hours until cruise time.

Safe travels to the few who have not yet left.

Straight from my meteorologist....

Looks like generally breezy conditions with sunshine, occasional passing clouds and no more than a brief shower. Other than occasional gusty winds there should be no major weather issues. It is a good time of year normally to visit the eastern Caribbean. Highs generally in the 80s with lows around 70.
