Hi all! We'll be joining you as well on March 3! Me, DH, DS(13), Dneph(14), DD(5), and DS(3).
Anyone else have teenage kids that have signed up for the teen CC shore excursion?
Our meet in 8022 is on, were going..I just need to arrange plane tickets with southwest, my Ding is not working, having trouble downloading it, I was hoping it isn't to late for Ding fares from Philly to MCO.

Gary - I don't think it was a fluke -- we, as I'm sure others did as well, signed up for dinner/brunch times that weren't first choice so when we get onboard, we are going to try to change it which will leave our old ressies available to someone else. I guess it is just going to be who gets there first and I've yet to see anyone get there for the DISers!!! On our last cruise, we met a couple from the DIS and they happened to be having brunch at Palo on the same day/time as us. I asked if they had dinner ressies but they couldn't get them. I couldn't very well see them not having dinner at Palo so we asked if we could change our ressies from 3 to 5 - with just a very minor tweaking of the times, our friends were able to enjoy Palo with us. So, the morale of the story is even if you don't get your own ressies, see if someone will let you dine with them!We took our first Disney cruise about 1 year ago. When I tried to make Palo dinner and brunch reservations, I was only able to get dinner - and not the date or time that I had wanted. We boarded the Magic as soon as we could (I think that we were in the #4 group), went right over to the Rockin' D bar and had no trouble switching our dinner reservations to the date and time that we wanted and we were able to get the brunch reservations too! I'm not sure if this is the norm though - LOL! I guess that I would suggest to get there early if possible and go right to where they tell you to go to try and get your reservations.

Stacy,
I've looked at South Beach. It's very, very close to Weight Watchers. I fully endorse WW and work there part time. If you'd like to be my tracking buddy, let me know. I'm determined to drop the extras. Don't wait for tomorrow, or February. You'll feel so much better if you take control now. PM me if you want to chat.

p.s. Jus curious - are any of you going to Orient Beach - the topless beach? DS is bummed because I say NO WAY!!Magen's Bay sounds better to me!
Andrew and I have kidded around with the girls that we are ALL going to go to Orient Beach!Kim -- I'll PM you about the diet stuff when I get home from work tomorrow. As for Orient Beach - NOT A CHANCE! Let your DS know it is more his grandparent's age group - not a good chance of any hot chicks! We were just going to do Maho Beach to check out the airplanes but now I'm leaning toward Simpsons Bay so we can do wave runners. DH said we HAD to parasail at CC b/c it is so beautiful - he did it on our 1st cruise (2nd cruise we missed out on CC - water too rough) but I was a big chicken. I signed up for Parasailing on CC this time though.

Welcome! We are also traveling with a baby (she turned 1 on 1/19). Is your daughter eating any table food yet? We are still doing the baby food thing mostly. I'm trying to break her of the bottle/formula before the cruise but I'm not sure if I'll succeed before we travel. I know we are going to have to basically bring an entire bag full of diapers/wipes/baby food but the good news is it will be an extra bag on the way home for all of the stuff we are going to buy! Check online at disneycruise.com for the celebration package - my husband ordered it for me when we cruised for my 30th birthday - this trip we are celebrating my other daughter's 13th birthday. If there is any questions you have, just ask!

Thanks for the tips, tried to get the celebration package and the romantic package a few months back as this seemed to be the only way to get into Palo but as our trip was fully paid for already, I was told that there was no guarantee to get into Palo even with the romantic package if it is fully booked and that my money would not be refunded if they cound not accomidate my wife and I. Also, the packages had to be booked and paid along with the initial cruise price and could not be paid separately afterwards. After hearing that 50% of the reservations are held back for people when they boarded the ship, not too concerned about not getting into Palo now. Not very many people from our neck of the woods have ever been on a Disney cruise so our travel agent had a few questions as well. Diapers and formula will more than likely be coming with us but am curious to what sizes/ brands etc. are available on board, no problem as I am a light packer and will have all kinds of room. We are bringing a small collapsable stroller with an umbrella, pop up sun tent, life jacket, water diapers and a few other goodies for our daughter, all excellent ideas I have seen on this forum. She is still on formula and bottled baby food but is currently switching to adult food a little at a time. Does anyone know if we are able to switch to the earlier sitting for supper? We requested it originally but seem to have the late sitting instead, is it too late for my daughter? She is usually is in bed at 1900hrs and I believe the late sitting is at 2030 hrs. Thanks for all the tips, any little thing that anyone can think of for cruising with an infant would be appreciated. I am retired Canadian military, and have travelled all over the world including 11 trips to the Caribbean but never have travelled with an infant, packing is going to be a challenge to my wife and I. She is fully fluent in french, Im 80+% so the people from Montreal have others to talk to if needed, we can bridge the language barrier if required. Thanks again for the tips. Cheers
I wouldn't stress at all about traveling with a baby. This is our third cruise, and one of my fondest memories of the first is waking up with my daughter, who was a little under 2 years old at the time, making her a bottle, and watching the sun rise on Deck 10. It is quiet and peaceful, and is a wonderful moment to start your day with a pair of grateful, beautiful eyes staring back at you from the other side of a bottle.

P.S. - Buy diapers at Publix before you sail and just dedicate a small suitcase to them.
Hi Tammy...and welcome,
Are you sailing on Feb3 or Mar3???
Love you name "Magicbound 2007", awhile back our thread was looking for a name for our group..never thought of that one.
Hi,
After going back and reading the thread title MARCH 3, I realized I was on the wrong thread!! Sorry!! We are sailing February 3.
Tammy
Johnna, you are a big asset to the team here. It would be nice to not have to recreate the wheel so to speak. What time did you guys do your meet? I remember reading some threads where they have had their original meets in a cat 2 or 3 starting at 2:30 or 3:00 and running until just before the Life Boat Muster. What does everyone think about 2:30 to 3:30, ir is that too early?
Sounds good to meOur group is growing
(which is a GOOD thing!!!!
) Like Johnna said, if we choose it have our Dis meet in a lounge area(w/ bar!!!), we would have more room to mingle and move around...90 + kids/adults is quite a few.
As far as the time goes..I game for whatever works with evryone else.
And Johnna...I'm sure that Mark would agree w/ Andrew, that you are an true Asset,![]()
And now that I think about it, maybe we could meet in the promenade lounge or something; we are a pretty big group, and it might crowd Andie a lot if we meet in her suite. I'm not sure we could get the food (we'll have just had lunch!) but the bar is right there. (Again, alcoholic? I think not... just a girl who likes a good drinkat the right time.) But this way we can all mingle and move around to meet everyone and also not be crowded in one little space. Just a thought... What does everyone else think??
