March 3, 2007

Mark is still here as well, and tempted as I have been, I have not done away with Johnna.

I could bore all of you with our nightmarish experience with selling our old house, but we have our third offer and second contract which is supposed to close on November 15t (which happens to be my birthday, so let's hope for some sort of Karma thing here).

I have not completely ignored the Cruise World, b/c I paid off the remaining balance this past week so we can go ahead and book our shore excursions soon. And don't listen to what Disney tells you; the time at which you can log on and make Palo ressies, etc. is 3: AM PST, not EST. I learned that the hard way last year.

So yes, I am alive, a little stressed, but will be a much happier camper when our other house is sold and I can avoid debtor's prison!

Mark :thumbsup2

Like most of you, I simply don't have the time or patience to keep up with the "Special Project" - I'm popping in periodically to see what's up but that's about it :confused3

Qball - yeah!! Congratulations! Welcome to the world Maxx :welcome:

ejkjmom - I'm sorry to hear about your uncle - it sounds as is he were a very nice man :grouphug:

mark_story - Here's some pixiedust: - to help out the karma on the sale of your house. So 3amPST is what time EST? I can never get that straight!

alanapapa/caropooh - stay cool on the b/f thing :smooth:

Well - I better get to work (late start today :teeth: ) - have a great weekend everyone!

Brenda - so sorry for your loss. 90 is a ripe old age to live until, and it sounds like your DU was well loved for all of those years.

Yes we finally had our son Maxx on Sept. 28th. We're getting as much sleep as a newborn will let you. We can't wait till the cruise.

We decided to stay at the new Marriott before the cruise and in an IPG Best Western house? Anyone heard of that?

Many Congratulations on Maxx!! 9/28 is our DS's birthday - and he's the sweetest, most caring 6 yr old boy I know - I hope for your sake that Maxx has those traits as well.

We're in the new Marriott Residence Inn for March 1 & 2 on points (love my job!); don't know what the IPG Best Western house is?

No it is no you being grumpy (or Dopey, Sneezy, Sleepy, Doc, or any of the others :rotfl: ). I don't even open those threads anymore.

BTW Johnna, where have you been? I was beginning to think either your asst or Mark did away with you.

Thanks for the validation. I've been known to have Grumpy (and Dopey, Sneezy, and Sleepy) days so I just wanted to be sure. And for the record, my assistant is AWESOME and not going anywhere for a while.

Quite the comedian my DH. :lmao:
Seriously - I'm printing these things for my future defense in court.

Hi! Welcome to the group!
So, who are you and who's in your group?

I'm Robyn. I'll be cruising with my husband John, DD13(turning 14 on the cruise), DS12 & DS10.

Thanks for the welcomes.

So I see some of you have been on a cruise in March before. How's the weather usually and what about water temps for swimming?

Welcome Robyn & Family :grouphug: :grouphug:

A warm welcome to your family :grouphug: Our last cruise was in January and we were able to swim in the pools and Castaway.I would think the water would be even warmer for March. 16 weeks and counting!!!!! :cheer2:

The weather for our cruise last year was awesome and the temperature in the pools and water at Castaway were great - I have not ever travelled to either St. Thomas or St. Maarten, but assume the weather there should be similar, if not better :cool1:

Indea88 - 16 weeks?? :thumbsup2 The weather is turning colder here now this week and the only thing good about it is that it means we are closer to this trip :teeth:

Good Morning and "Happy Saturday :sunny: " DH is settled in for a day of College Football :happytv: (as for myself.... I can hardly wait :sad2:

Mermaidbaby & family welcome to our group :grouphug: . I as well have a DD (Emily) that is 13 and another (Kaylee) that will be 10... our first cruise was a 3 day cruise last March 9th, and we found the weather very pleasant :sunny: as for the water at CC, I can only tell you what is was like from the knees down ...and it was perfect...(as was the drink of the day, :rotfl: ). We were blessed w/ beautiful weather for all 3 days, the evenings were pleasant as well....SO YEAH!!!! and Indea.... only 16 more weeks??? We are getting so excited!!!!! :cool1: Can't wait for the crusie as well as to meet all of you....

Have a good Saturday

Welcome Robyn and family and a special welcome to baby Maxx!
Well, the cruise is officially less than 4 months away and I know with the holidays coming up the time will fly by.

Robyn, someone posted on the main DCL forum that the water temp in the Bahamas has never fallen below 73. For my family that is warm :sunny: as our local ocean temp is about 60-in the summer! Never stopped the kids from swimming though-blue lips, shivering and all. I will definately be snorkleing at CC to find Mickey.

mark story-hello to a fellow Scorpio. My birthday is the 16th. I'll be 39 this year. November is big in our family. I have 3 nephews born the 15th, 16th and 30th.

Have a great weekend!

Welcome to Mermaidbaby and family! The more the merrier.

Last February's weather was still warm enough to swim on board and at Castaway (not that the kids did!). Had it not been rainy and overcast at St. Maarten, we could have swam there too, and probably at St. Thomas had DS not been sick. So - I'm hoping the weather in March will be even better, and that seasickness doesn't impede us again.

16 weeks sounds awesome!

That's great to hear about the weather and water temps. My kids, as well, will swim no matter what.

Ok, how have you people been on here, anticiapting this trip for more than a year?!? The excitement level in my house is at full tilt and we only booked a month ago. :dance3:

Way back I read the there is a keeper of the list. Of course I don't remember who or what page that was on. But if someone could point me in the right direction, I would love to be added and have a copy.

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: (OK someone stop me, I can't help myself!!!)

Robyn, it has been hard!!!!! It's not as hard now as it was last March / April ...

WE toke our first ever Cruise last March , not knowing how we would like it, and more importantly if anyone would get seasick, we opted for the 3 day cruise....

Well, we LOVED it, and 3 days was no where near long enough, so we rebooked while on board!!!! It really left us wanting more, and knowing that we had to wait a year to go back, was REALLY hard.... WE had so much fun.

Now that the dates are getting closer, and we are getting to know some of our fellow cruisers, the anticiaption & excitement level is starting to escalate again in our house as well!!!!! :)

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know that this morning I checked Southwest airlines just for fun, to see if the flight I booked was full or not yet...and guess what??? for the same date, time and flight # the airfare went down from $99.00 to $59.00 one-way per person,non-stop  so I went in and rebooked at no charge, and ended up w/ a $160.00 credit,(for the same flight). So we are now flying out of Denver, w/tax and fees for 69.30 per person. hard to bet those prices :)

If any of you have booked or are waiting to book w/ SW you might want to check...I was pleasantly surprised.... I was excited to call DH and tell him, I'm always telling him I'm saving him money, and his reply is "the more you save, the more I worry" :rotfl:

Good Luck :thumbsup2

I looked at SW and it would mean either coming on to MCO at 8:30pm Friday night or taking the girls out of school for ANOTHER day. They don't have redeyes from Seattle, which is what we are looking more towards. Their latest flight out of Seattle is at 1:30pm and that would get us into MCO at 10:30pm.
