Rise and shine was VERY early since we are from the west coast and lost 3 hours last night. We were all up by 8 since our limo was coming at 9:30. We used Cartier again and all was wonderful like the other times. They fill it full of pop and did a 20 minute grocery stop on the way to the port. We were checking in by about 10:45 and were the 4th family in line to board. The kids loved the model and the characters that came out (with the exception of my son). Our last trip to Disneyland last summer I could tell he was on the verge of being "too cool" for the characters but I had hoped for some cute photos on this trip. Not to be though, I only got one of the three of them with the Genie. All the others he passed on. Anyway, we started boarding about 11:50. We went to Parrot Cay for the buffet and then quickly went to grab some lounge chair close to the pool. The kids had their swimsuits on and quickly went about their first swim of the year. They were the first ones in the pool. It has been a long winter in our area so all of us adults were happy to just veg out in a lounge chair in the warm sun. After a couple hours of pool time we went to find our rooms. We were surprised to find a memory box left in each stateroom from AllSeas travel and of course the towels and pins for my daughter and I. We quickly claimed them as ours since they are so nice! We met our stateroom host Edgar. He was wonderful and made conversation with us any time he saw us. We went about unpacking while the kids went up to the arcade. I had bought them each a $15 card and they all promptly spent them and were back in 1/2 hour. They must not have been very good at any of the games :) My husband took them back later and taught them how to make better use of their cards. The next set lasted them the rest of the trip. Next it was off to the lifeboat drill. We lucked out and got to be inside at Animators Palet. It was pretty warm out, low eighties, and it stayed that way our whole trip. The cruise director said they have had some pretty bad weather and that we had been very lucky this week to have every day sunny and warm. We had early seating, which I had been waitlisted for. We were cleared by the time we got our docs. Our first restaurant was Parrot Cay. Our servers were San Jin and Ive. They were good but not as good as the 2 we had on our last cruise. San Jin was pretty quiet and seemed shy and Ive seemed new and was really trying TOO hard to be funny. It made it a little uncomfortable a couple of times. It was Hercules tonight and since we had not liked it on the last trip we decided to skip it. We went to Mickey Mania and my daughter and I were chosen to be contestants. We were the red Minnies and by the end of the show we had 600 points and were the winners! We were so excited and got coins and gold medal around our necks. My mom and MIL were dying to shop so we went and checked out the stores. They were a little smaller than they expected but they thought they were stocked with a pretty good variety. We went and checked out our photos at Shutters before going back to our rooms. We had a cut elephant on our bed as well as our chocolates. We ordered the first of our nightly room service. My husband got stuck on the manacotti and ended up getting it every night. Everything was always piping hot when we got it and the only thing we didn't end up liking was the chese tray. We watched School of Rock and went to sleep.
