March 27, 2010 - Spring Break with Mickey on the Magic!

Ebay! I do not have a crafty bone in my body, so I didn't even try to make one - I got my FE from a very talented eBay'er who will customize them with names, favorite colors, characters, etc. I just checked and she has several up for sale right now :) Her customer service is great and so is the quality of the FE.

I've read some great ideas for other things you can buy that'll work as FEs, and also some simple ones to make (no sewing required) in some of the FE threads on the main cruise board.

EFoote01......We are from Suffolk......We are in Coram......Are you flying down for the trip? We just booked Southwest and I still can't believe I am paying so much for flights....I looked at ones leaving from JFK and they were even higher! Why do all Long Islanders think Spring Break should take place in Florida.....lol

I am hoping to fly down but the flight prices are insane:scared1:

I agree they are completely insane! But I think I am more insane becuase I paid their crazy price to fly! If you are flexible as to the day you can fly, you can find some decent rates but they are a few days before the cruise and a few days after the cruise. You should also try West Palm Beach.....its about the same distance as Orlando. You may have better luck with prices.

WoooooHooooo! I can't wait! How can we make them go fast? I need a vacation NOW! Guess I should start planning my shore excursions!

Hi Everyone,

I am going on this cruise too. I am traveling with my DS, DDIL, DGD and other family (SoThisIsLove and Nemo's Lucky fin). I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and would love to participate in the FE exchange.

Hi guys! I have some exciting news! We got a pin code for Kids Sail Free and after some drama, we got Disney to apply it to our cruise! We are now in a Cat 10 on Deck 7. (We were booked for a Cat 11 earlier.)

We plan on doing the Butterfly Farm and Le Galion Beach in St. Maarten and Coral World and Coki Beach on St. Thomas. We are thinking of doing these on our own and would love to split the cab with another family. If anyone is interested, please let us know.

Dana & Holly & Emma & Hannah

Congrats on the pin code, our2disneygirls! I'm incredibly jealous, but still happy for you.

Welcome, Tink'n About Disney! Sounds like you guys have a nice family group on this cruise.

My daughter and I just got back from a quick trip to Disneyland for Halloween (took advantage of a 4 day school break here in Nevada). It was pretty crowded because of all the Halloween activities but we still had a great time (hint if you go there: be there when the gates open in the morning and collect lots of fast passes). Needed a quick Disney fix to hold us over since March is still so far away!

Hey all, Lampy here one of the "origional" Turkeyday" cruisers......thinking of sailing this cruise.....this would be our 7th......Myself, DW and DDs 19 and 17

Hi all,

I'm sorry to say we won't be joining you on this cruise. My DW enjoyed our Caribbean cruise (Oct 2008) very much, but she has been dreaming of going on an Alaskan cruise. She was really excited when Disney announced they were going to start going to Alaska, and so we started looking at sail dates.

Unfortunately we can't afford to cruise every year (especially on Disney...love them but definitely not cheap!) so we've switched our reservation to July 28th 2011 on the Wonder.

We're generally really excited about the change, though I think all of us (especially my older son) are disappointed about missing the March cruise!

I'm sorry we won't be joining you, but I hope everyone has a wonderful time!

I will be booking this cruise this week. It will be me, DMom, Ddad, and Dsister(12). It will be my 4th cruise and their 2nd. We are really excited, I just need to finish working things out with DH (he can't come).

Does anyone know what day reservations can be made? I know it's 75 days from the cruise, but I haven't figured out exactly what that date is and hoping maybe someone else has.

I am getting so excited. I swear it's the only thing that gets me through right now, thinking of this cruise. Now that the holidays are almost here I'm thinking that the next 1 1/2 months will go fast, then it will be January and then almost cruise time!

We are still deciding on what excursions we want to do. I'm pretty sure we will do snorkeling either in St Maarten or St Thomas and my son and I want to parasail at Castaway Cay but that's all we know so far. What is everyone else planning?

Christine

:welcome: Let me know if you want to join the Fish Extender group.

They have posted cat 12 again on the DCL website...I guess this sailing is not full?

I don't think the ship is anywhere near full yet. I've always read that the prices go up as the ship fills, but cat 6 is exactly the same price now as it was in Oct 08 when I booked. And all categories still appear to be available, unlike the Eastern 2 weeks earlier, that one doesn't show any inside or balcony rooms left. But somehow I'm sure they'll fill the ship by the time we get on!

We can book at 90 days, which is Dec 27; I think 75 days is Jan 11. But the best place to check is to pull up your reservation on the DCL website; under "My Cruise Plans" it will give you the date you can start filling out forms, reserving, etc.

We are doing an island tour with Bernard's Tours on St Maarten, a snorkeling daysail on St Thomas and probably the jet ski excursion on Castaway Cay. I am hoping the new slide is open on CC when we get there; it really looks like fun!

Hi Everyone,

I am excited to say that I have booked this cruise too. I am part of the big family group (SoThisIsLove, Nemo's lucky fin and Tink'n about Disney). I am really looking forward to this vacation as I am recovering from foot surgery and cabin fever has set in.
I am excited to meet everyone and want to participate in the FE exchange. I look forward to getting to know all of you!

Faith

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! I hope you all enjoy your families and remember that calories do not count today!

Thanks for the welcome!

We have officially booked this cruise! We are very excited and defiantly want to do Fish Extenders.

Welcome! I'm having foot surgery myself this Thursday. Nothing serious - bone spur at the base of my big toe - but I won't be able to drive for a couple of weeks so I'm sure I'll be able to relate to your cabin fever!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! I hope you all enjoy your families and remember that calories do not count today!

And they don't count on cruises either! :goodvibes Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Thanks for the welcome!

Great! FE list has been updated.

I got a letter from DCL yesterday with my final payment date, day I could start booking Palo, etc. Nothing new, but it was exciting just to hear from them. Means we are getting close to our cruise - less than 4 months to go! :cool1:
