March 22, 2012 Dream SSMC Reunion AKA "It's all Gary's Fault" Cruise - Part 2!

Oh my. Well, I'm so glad that everyone is alright!! Yes, I have seen some of the pictures from Branson. And I've been there, so looking at the damage is bad enough, but to actually be there, or even so close, must be terrible. Isn't it something that we, as parents, immediately call our children when things like this happen! Instinct, I guess.

Dianne - so glad to hear your daughter is safe. Nasty weather. Southern Illinois was hit hard as well.

My turn to be up in the middle of the night after a bad dream. This involved being at the cruise terminal and not having my passport. I was alone and it was not this cruise but some other cruise that I was going on with lots of women from my past (not sure why). Anyway now I'm awake and can't get back to sleep. The good news....

My turn to be up in the middle of the night after a bad dream. This involved being at the cruise terminal and not having my passport. I was alone and it was not this cruise but some other cruise that I was going on with lots of women from my past (not sure why). Anyway now I'm awake and can't get back to sleep. The good news....

Good Morning, sorry about the bad dream, at least yours was cruise related. wow with a bunch of women, were we leaving all the guys at home. He he...and going to have a good time! But it is March only 16 more days before I arrive in WDW.

Good Countdown Morning! Thanks Mary. You can feel the excitment just bubbling over in everybody. It is getting so close I can almost touch it!

And Mary, funny about your bad dream because the other morning while showering I thought, did we get our passports in our cruise folder? And sure enough we hadn't. But they are there now!

And we almost had a luggage catastrophe. On Sunday Bobby finally opened the ME envelope and they had our old reservation of going to BLT. Guess we forgot to change that when we changed our reservation over to SSR. And we were actually gonna use the luggage service this time, because we usually don't. Good thing we checked. And so yesterday we got our new ME tags for SSR. So we can go straight to ME get on the bus and wait for our luggage to catch up.

But I am wondering, has anyone else ever used the luggage service through ME? It does kinda worry me. Any experiences, good or bad you can share? Thanks.

We've used the luggage service many times and have not had any problems - thank goodness. Most of the times we would be flying in earlier than check-in time, so we would stop at the front desk, register, and then head for the parks or wherever. When we got back, the luggage was right inside the door of our room. So it's been okay for us.

Boy, you guys with the bad dreams! I think I had the ultimate in bad dreams though a few weeks ago - I dreamed that when I got to the terminal to check-in, "stupid" was standing next to me inside of Gail!! NOOOO!!

Hi Sue, your question about the midwest. In Missouri, I came very close to my DD again, first time was in Joplin last year about 30 min west of her, Now it hit Branson 30 min south of her. and spilt and went around her... I was talking to her on FB when I got up for my bad dream,, guess it was fate, she was trying to decide if she should get her 14 year old out of bed, so he would be wide awake enough help get the 3 girls to the storm shelter..she was keeping a close eye on the weather. But they are Ok, and Branson appears to have been hit hard!...

Dianne...I am so glad that your daughter and family are okay. My mom lives in Branson and my 2 sisters live in Hollister. They are all fine. My mom lives 2 blocks from the Hilton which was hit with major damage. It was very scary to see all the damage. The season for the theatres starts next week (I think)...with all the damage I double most will be open.

Monika, so glad they are Ok, it was a lot of destruction. And yes we have used the luggage service, and have been very happy with it. once we had to call cause it was almost 9 p.m. and we had not recievied our checked luggage. They explained to us it was on the way. we arrived on a very busy day. and we had arrived at 12:15 p.m. that day. and they were still trying to catch up!

First, Sue, sorry I didn't reply to your post about Zumba. Yes it was Zumba night but I was unable to go because Brooke had a concert at 7:00 that night and I wouldn't have gotten home until 6:20 and still do supper. So I was bad and skipped that night. Oops.

Monika - so glad that your family is safe from the horrific storms down in Branson. It is so hard to fathom these storms are hitting such populated areas. Like, was it last year when Joplin got hit? It is just scary. And this morning I heard more storms are expected south of us. Just hope they don't hit the same area.

And thanks for the ME luggage responses. We got our new tags and think we are going to use that service. Cuz after we check in I want to try and hightail it over to EPCOT to see some of the Flower and Garden Fesitval going on. We have been down for that for like the last three years and I would love to see it again and this will be our only opportunity. We will have a few hours before the BBQ so I think we can do it!

Boy, I am getting windy anymore. Sorry.
