I have a reservation for the week of March 1st, do you guys think the crowds will be better that week or should I change the reservation to the week of March 8th. Thanks for the input.

I’ve been doing a little research on March, it looks like it should be relatively slow at the parks that first week and then start to ramp up a wee bit the week of the 7th. Looks like the weeks of the 14/21/28 are the major Pre-Easter spring break weeks according to most planning sites. And unfortunately for us we have no choice but to go the week of the 21st.

I believe March 1 will be lighter, because Food and Wine opens around March 5 or so.

I think you mean Flower and Garden :)

You are clear of Easter, the middle of march does get impacted by college spring breaks to some degree, but even the week of the 8th should be fine, its the next two weeks. The closing weekend of that 2nd week might see the uptick in crowds from that.

If it were me, I would do the week of the 8th BECAUSE of flower and garden, and because I do not think the crowds will be vastly different, however I do think the 2nd week of march will be more crowded.

Crowds being only concern = first week
Benefits of Flower and garden(with still very manageable, but slightly larger crowds) = 2nd week

ETA:
UCT has the first week of march as one of its "best times" to visit in 2020 and the 2nd week as one of the worst.

Most Texas public schools and colleges have Spring Break the week of March 8. For that reason I would keep your March 1 reservation.

Yeah I'm a little torn because I want to do flower and garden but I would also prefer less crowds. Likely going to just switch to the 8th to get a full week of F&G

What about going Thursday to Thursday to get the advantage of both weeks? That's our plan.

We go each year in mid-March. We're always there over St. Patrick's Day since that's how our Spring Break falls. March is nice before Easter...crowds are lighter and the weather isn't too hot. It can be stormy and rainy so pack layers!

I second that! It can be stormy, rainy, hot, or chilly! We’ve had all in the same week.

I go The end of Feb -beginning of March every year ,there is about 4 days around the Princess Marathons can be pretty bad ,mostly in the MK but after
that until the 12th (when I usually leave ) is good .
The college kids do really pour into Epcot on that 1st week-end of F&G
