March 2009 Code Watch

subbing..

Hey scrappinmom...I grew up in Ingleside...do you know where that is?

We're going the 20th-27th; booked at the POP with AAA rate, but hoping for better!

Hey there Soupermom! Yep I know where that it...I grew up in the city...but live in McHenry county now......

I'm looking for March discounts as well. DD's HS marching band will be there 11 - 15 and we're going too. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a great rate!

Is there some event/competition that the marching band is doing that is going on at that time?

This is my first trip, but I'll attempt to answer your questions. First, one of the sticky posts at the top of the Codes & Rates page answers in detail. But my understanding is that there are general public codes that anyone could use. When/if one is published for March, someone will post it here. There are also pin codes that are specific to the person they are sent to and cannot be used by others. They are sent randomly. The OP said that last year in March there was a free PH upgrade. I'm not sure, but I'm guessing that you'd receive a credit if you'd already purchased the PH tickets. Just trying to help, but your best source of information is the sticky.

Thanks for responding...I will check out the sticky.

Not that I'm aware of. I believe that they and the HS chorus are just performing in MK but I can't get anyone to give me any kind of info - I've even gotten a few nasty comments from other band parents because I've asked questions. What little I know I have gleaned from another band member whose older brother has gone on past trips and tidbits that DD has picked up at band camp and practices.

Add us! We are hoping for March 6-12 (or 13 depending on flights) at POP. I think the mousesavers.com website says that codes for March 2008 were released around Oct 31, 2007...heres hoping for a code! :)

Does this mean that they are letting people book dining ressies for March? Or only certain ones? Does anyone have any idea what the park hours for March will be? Tomorrow is 180 for us, and I would love to be able to book ADR's

An upgrade to Disney's Dining Reservation System began July 21, 2008. As the application upgrade occurs, the latest reservation date guests will be able to secure is January 25, 2009. This means that in some cases you may not be able to book as far in advance as usual. (Note that reservation booking windows for Victoria & Albert's, Chef Mickey's and Cinderella's Royal Table will not be affected by this system upgrade.) Beginning October 24, 2008, the current system will be replaced by an improved system for dining, recreation and tour bookings. With the launch of the new booking system, reservations for dining, recreation, and tours will be made during one single transaction. Once the upgrade is completed the booking window will expand back to the normal 180 days.

I have been curious as well. This is the info I have. My 180 day is 9/29. I think I will only be able to reserve Chef Mickey (the only one of the 3 I am interested in). Guess we wait on the rest.

That's how it worked for us. We called on our 180 day, which was 9/5. As we expected, we were able to make reservations for Chef Mickey and CRT. They told us to call back later to make the rest of our ADR. I intend to check in occasionally to see if I can book the rest.

We got a great discount last March! We stayed 10 days and got a code a few weeks after we booked and saved over $500 and got the water parks added for free! It was great:cool1: We are booked again for this March and I am hoping to find another great code. Just another wonderful thing about Disney!

Just wanted to say hi to a neighbor (I'm from GR). Looks like we'll be arriving in Disney just a few days before you. Hope you and your family enjoy your trip! Michelle, DH, DD6 and DS6

Hi!

We are gonna be at the Pop Century from 3/9-3/15 for my birthday. I would like to be added to the code watch too!

If anyone booked through AAA, I understand you can book dining reservations 190 in advance instead of 180....

I'm fairly certain that that is not true.

Anyone staying on site has the benefit of 180 days + 10, meaning that you can book 180 days from check in and make ADRs for 10 days.

Hi Neighbor. It takes true northerners to appreciate Disney in March!:cool1:
So should we be on the lookout for pale twins in UofM gear? Have a great trip.

Thanks for clarifying that. I, myself, wondered what that meant but forgot to look it up.

I just got a pin code but the dates are only for 2008. Ugh! I need one for March!
