March 20, 2010*** Mickey's Magic Matey's Cruise the Western!***

Have you all been following the post about the kids club changes? They are removing the age barrier and allowing kids to do what ever actitivies they like between the lab and the oceaneer's club. At first it looked like it was the Wonder only, but some of the replies say it will be for the Magic too.

:banana:Happy Dance. I can start booking stuff this weekend.

and i've got my FE gifts ready to go. :woohoo:

Aww, save some good stuff for us!

I did go and check on orbitz this week just for the fun of it and you can still book a category 12 for our cruise. I guess they won't start the discounts until after the final payment date for everyone???? At this point with the cruise paid for I don't want to know about any discounts for anyone else...keep me in the dark.

I did a quick look at food and drinks on the DIS board and I am even more excited!

I don't think there will be any discounts. But, ya never know. I think the discount is the category 12. Sometimes they offer other gty categories.

I booked my stuff today! Just a brunch and a dinner at Palo. And, an inner tube for castaway cay. I think we'll do the excursions on our own. We booked our Dolphin Encounter at Cozumel on our own. Much cheaper than through Disney.

Good for you! I can't wait until the 4th when we get to book. Hope what we want is open : )

We got what we wanted. Parasailing at Castaway Cay, Palo Brunch, and Snorkeling in Cozumel.:cool1::woohoo:

There were still ALOT of things open last time I looked. SO I'm sure you will get everything you want too.

Hello all - better late than never - thankfully I found this thread!

Our family will be joining you on this awesome trip - me (39), DH (40), and DD (13). We have done one cruise before, but this is our first Disney cruise. We are celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary on this trip. Tried to do the big 20th last year, but timing didn't work.

We are booked in cabin 2103 and would love to do the FE exchange! We are also booked for the 1st seating.

For excursions, we are busy planning that now as we are days away from our booking date. We are thinking:

Cozumel - dolphin encounter, but not sure which one yet
Grand Cayman - 7 mile beach or semi submarine
KW - walking tour on our own
CC - relax!

I am looking forward to this so much - now that I'm in "the zone" of planning!!:cheer2:

Hi All,

I've been here a few times, but haven't chimed in. Just wanted to say hi to everyone now that we are coming into the home stretch. I will be traveling with my extended family: DD(5) DD (20mos) DW (36), Dad (58), Mom (56), Bro (35), SIL (29), Niece (2), Neph (5mos), Aunt (64) & Cousin (37).

Welcome to all : ) I hope everyone had a good holiday. I am excited that tomorrow night we get to book our excursions : )

Laura, got your family down for the FE gift exchange.

Hope everyone had good luck booking their excursions. We didn't get the dolphin swim at Grand Cayman, which my seven year old was very disappointed about : ( She is a few weeks shy of being 8 to do the swim at Cozumel. Otherwise we got everything else we wanted.

We didn't get the Dolphin encounter we wanted either in Cozumel. But we got the kids a different one so they have something. We got Palo though!

We didn't get the Dolphin Encounter, either. I booked the Dolphin Swim at Dolphinaris but might cancel later - not sure that's what we want and for that price. Didn't get the Atlantic Sub Explorer in GC so that will now be a beach day - fine by me!

Got Palo for our anniversary night, but for 8:30 - I think I'll try to get an earlier ressie once we're on board.

I went to the DCL website to double check that no excursions opened up, etc. Everything that I saved previously was gone. I was in complete shock, upset, and___________________ (fill-in-the blank). So I decided while I was there I would see if the dolphin excursion was opened at least. It was and I booked it. I logged out and logged back in just to see if it worked. Everything that I had previously booked was suddenly there again plus the dolphin excursion. I saw several threads on the disboards later that the DCL website was giving several people trouble, so I don't know if it was a website error or what?? We will have to see?? I am going to stay hopeful. : ):goodvibes

Hi Everyone...

Just wanted to say Hello! We are on the March 20th cruise with you. It's myself (39), DH (43) and DD (8). It will be our 2nd Disney Cruise. Our first was a land/sea in July 2008. Looking forward to the Western intinerary! Have our excursions booked and ready to go. No so much in to the FE, but wanted to introduce ourselves and look forward to trading cruise stories :)
