I will be cruising with my hubby, 5 year old daughter and 7 year old son. Is anyone else going on this sail? :earboy2:

We'll be there. Me, DH, DD 12 and DS 6. This will be a very special trip for us as DH will have just returned from deployment for the second time. He's only been home for 6 mos since Dec 2002.

I can't wait! It's getting close. I'm starting to get excited about getting documents soon and then it will be real. Starting to think about packing and it's getting so exciting... first all the planning and now all the preparation! YAY!

Anyone else?

I know.. I think I am spending more time planning the vacation than we will actually spend on the vacation. I've heard everything is crowded this time of year because of Spring Break. I'm wondering if that is true.

We are on the cruise with you as well. Me, DH, and DD11. This is our first cruise and first time in WDW. Our daughter won't know about it until February 26th. We are keeping it a surprise until then. She thinks we are going to Disneyland for the 9th time. We can hardly contain ourselves, so we are sure she won't be able too, so that is why we are waiting until closer to cruising time. See you all there. :cheer2:

This is our first cruise ever. My children know about it. DD12 is very excited. DS6 is ready to go though I don't think he has really grasped the concept of how large this boat is actually going to be. :earseek: I can't wait to see their faces!!!! Shoot... they probably can't wait to see mine! I've been telling DD that I'm going to embarass her at the karaoke !! :rotfl:

What dinner seating did you guys book? We asked for first. We also booked Cat 8 Deck 6.

We will be doing two weeks at WDW after the cruise... I also am hoping for not too crowded but am planning on one. As long as the weather is nice then I don't care how crowded it is :teeth: but when it's sooo hot like in the end of May and very crowded then it's harded to stand in the lines etc.

 I'm just getting so excited. I think it's a combination of DH finally coming home and the cruise but my coworkers are getting very tired of me. :D

We have the first dinner seating time. :flower: We are a category 11 on Deck 7. We figured that we would be spending very little time in the cabin that we went with the inside cabin, but a window would have been nice. Every day that it gets closer, I get even more excited. For you, I can't imagine how excited you are with this being your first cruise and having your husband come home. We appreciate all that the military do for us! :cheer2:

I guess the ship will have just us, pureromancelady and landmark huh? Wow, to have the ship to just us three families, can you imagine? :rotfl2:

Has anyone received their cruise docs yet?

We have the late dinner seating. We had requested earlier, but now I think the later is better since we are from the West and it will be more around our actual dinner time.

Debating on Palo though. We are first time cruisers and don't want to miss anything.

Anyone dressing up for Pirate night? I am trying to talk my hubby into it.

No documents yet. Getting excited that they will be coming SOON!

We originally thought that late dining would be better but decided that with my DS early might be better.

Guess we will be the only DIS'ers to catch this sailing???

Getting closer... like 4 weeks WOW! Somedays I think it'll never get here and then others I'm like... Wait where did all the time go!?

I'm very excited for pirate night. Getting the kids to participate won't be a problem. pirate:

I saw a posting today for someone cruising on Mar 13 just before our cruise that had received their douments today. :cool1:
So, maybe that means ours will be here very soon! :cheer2:
We are from the west too, but we chose the early dinner because we wanted to see the 8:30 shows. :wizard:
For pirate night my DH is going to bring his mickey pirate bandana that he got at Disneyland. We cant wait to see the pirate show and the fireworks. :earboy2:
We are not doing Palo because we want to see all the regular restaurants.

Talked to my TA yesterday. Disney said the docs were mailed on Feb. 14th. We should be getting them this week.

Have either one of you received your documents yet? We checked the mail hopeful today, but nothing was there. It was too late to call DCL, but I am checking with them tomorrow. We booked through DCL. I just saw a post where someone cruising at the end of March got their documents today, which made me wonder where ours are. We are very anxious to do the document dance :rotfl:

I did call my travel agent on Friday evening and happened to ask about documents. She called DCL and said that ours were mailed 2/16/05. So we should be receiving them soon.

Boy it's getting close!!!

Call DCL today and she said they were mailed 2/16/05 so we should receive them, according to her, by Tuesday 2/22. I will let you know when we get ours.

This is for the cruise leaving from Port Canaveral right? If so, the family and I will be on it!
I'm a little in the dark on the details since I am currently deployed overseas. So far I know that we are doing the cruise and then heading over to the Animal Kingdom Resort.... yep, I'm going from one safari to another!

Woody87,
Yes this the cruise leaving from Cape Canaveral. Landmark is another family with a family member deployed overseas. Glad to have you aboard the cruise. Thank you for your service to our country and see you there. :cheer2:

Now that it's getting down to the wire... would we want to set up a place time to perhaps meet in person while on the cruise?

ah CRUISE

Oh then this will be a really special vacation! I think you will really like the Animal Kingdom Resort. We stayed there last trip (pre deployment visit) and really enjoyed it. If you enjoy animals then you will love it. It was really neat to take some great pictures of them. So who will be going on the vacation with you? It will be me, husband, and daughter 12 and son 6. We are getting really excited and already packing some bags!

Sorry - I will be at least 4. Me and DW, DD11, and DS6 will be there too! First time ever not in the middle of summer so we are hoping for good weather. Kind of concerned about the WDW crowds though - were originally projected for 5 but are now at 7 for whole week.

Got my cruise docs today! That seems a little early based on other reports but maybe it had something to do with booking through TA instead of direct.
