March 15, 2015 MAGIC Cruise!! :)

We are from Sunny South Florida! Jensen Beach, to be exact. Less than a 2 hour drive to Port Canaveral for us. Sorry to hear about the snow AGAIN, however I hear that it's supposed to be 70 degrees soon? You have to be loving all of that fluctuation in temp!

Nice, we're hoping this is the last round of winter weather. Enjoy your warm weather, I think the majority of the people on this board are looking forward to escaping the snow and cold. Is this your first Disney cruise?

I can imagine! We've been down here for about 9 years now, but used to live in Ohio. Glad to not have to shovel snow anymore! Yes, this is our first "Disney" cruise. Hoping the kids will take advantage of some of the club activities this trip. Stay warm! I hope all of these storms move through so that everyone can safely reach Port Canaveral next weekend.

I just saw the forecast on the news and they're saying 70 degrees here on Thursday. That bodes well for our travel plans, hopefully others experience the same warm-up next week. Are you guys on Spring Break the week of the cruise? Is that the common spring break week for Florida? The districts around us are all on break next week, we've got the oddball break a week after.

Personally, I don't know how anyone wouldn't enjoy a Disney Cruise. There is something for everyone. Our kids aren't very interested in the clubs, but they still have a great time and look forward to each cruise. At 10 and 7, your kids are at a perfect age to enjoy this trip. Of course, I say that about any age! :p

I just booked our cruise today. We are WDW annual passholders but first time on a cruise. Just learning about Fish Extenders and this group. I have 3 boys and would love to join your group, if possible.

Let me know your stateroom number and I will put you on the pixie dust list. How many adults, and ages of the kids.

We are AP holders also.

Hello everyone! I am a mom of 3 boys (ages 7, 9 and 11) and we just booked our first Disney cruise. We are in Stateroom 8542. Is it too late for us to join a FE group? Thank you so much!

Sorry, I just duplicated my efforts here! 2 adults (Andrea & Mike) and 3 boys (Rocco, 11, 6th grade), (Luciano/Luc, 9, 4th grade) and (Massimo/Mas, 7, 2nd grade)

Just ordered an FE to hang on our door and the kids are excited to meet new friends!

Welcome!

I have added you to the 'pixie dust' list. I think you will see that there will be lots of kids the age of your boys.

Do drop by our meet and greet at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Promenade Lounge. It's on Deck 3 down the hall towards Carioca's.

Also, everyone welcome at the adult lounge (Fathom's?) for the scavenger hunt game. Loads of fun!

It's funny, here I'm an early riser so don't stay up late at all. But on the cruise, I'm up late having fun and then can't sleep in at all. I'm always the first one up. I head out and walk about the upper decks a bit, take some photos and just revel in the salt air (once a coast girl, always a coast girl). Then I pick up some coffees and hot chocolate, pastries and fruit, and head back down to wake up the rest of the family.

Talked to a friend at work that just finished a cruise on the Magic. They had a wonderful time and would be willing to go back anytime! Not that I'm surprised, but really getting excited to start vacation!

Our group is really growing! Welcome to all the newcomers!

I'm the very same way papertraveller! I become so sleep-deprived, getting the least amount of sleep of the family. I catch DH snoozing every chance he gets. I just set my alarm for 4:50 am (ds has swim practice), so I can't imagine how early I will wake up on the cruise!

Welcome!

I'm like that when we go to WDW. I'm sure I'll be like that on the cruise, too. I hope the coffee isn't as bad as everyone says it is! My family know not to bother me until I've had my coffee!

I wasn't a huge fan of the coffee, so much so that I switched to tea for the rest of the cruise. But I also didn't get a specialty coffee, which is my plan for next-next week.

Duvall and St John County's Spring break is the week of the cruise. Not sure about the rest of the counties in Florida.

I highly recommend the Chai Tea Latte, it was awesome on the Fantasy, I'm hoping it is on the Magic as well! :drinking1

Wow this week is flying by!!! It is less than 5 days now before we are on our way to Florida. Can't wait to meet everyone on this thread. This will be our first disney cruise...not sure what to expect...but its going to be fun!

And for my 10th posting...just a report...packing has not yet started. That will be the weekend project, after DD's last soccer game of the season and the figure skating performance (that lasts 2.5 hours?). Why do they pack everything in the last week before spring break?

Glad to hear that it should be nicer for you all to travel. We are on Spring Break the week of the cruise. It does seem to be the common spring break week for our area. I was surprised to be reading about how the ship wasn't at full capacity. That certainly doesn't bother me one bit!

Has anyone you know given any feedback on the Castaway Cay 5K? I was thinking about signing up for it, but didn't know if they limit the amount of participants, etc.

I just wrote out a schedule between now and when we leave the 14th and its crazy here! Sooooo much packed in next week. I'm hoping to start packing sunday evening after work so I can figure out if there's anything we need I'm forgetting.

I'm planning on doing the 5K on castaway cay. Usually the 5Kers meet in one of the lounges that morning and go off together. There's no charge but they do limit it to 200 people and you have to be 10 and up to participate. It looks like you can sign up at guest services or port adventures anytime. I'm excited for it....and you get a mickey medal! !
