March 11, 2006 - 7 Day Magic

Does anyone know when we're supposed to get our docs?

BTW, for those whose last day of work is Mar 8, counting today, it is 22 working days until vacation. :hmghost:

:cool1: Got my docs already.....:cool1:

Printed them out online......:rotfl2:

Nope! Not me!

I LOVE the cool little box they come in! I want my docs the old fashioned way. Should be soon...

The book is called Murder Walks the Plank. I hope it's a good one.

Five weeks to Key West! Wow, that seems too far when I look out the window and see snow flying. It's not landing or anything, but still, I'd much rather be somewhere where swimming outdoors is comfortable.

I am now the proud owner of a copy of Murder Walks The Plank. My co-workers laughed at me when I said I bought the book to take on the cruise...they all said "like you're going to have time to read!!!!!!"

How do you print your documents online???

Go to www.disneycruise.com and go to My Disney Cruise... you don't even have to log in... so those of you with TA reservations can do it too. On the left you'll see a tab that says MY CRUISE DOCUMENTS... click on that and you can print out the Embarkation form and the Payment Authorizatin form. Even if you don't use these particular ones.. you'll be familiar with the form and know what you're going to put on it. The Bahamas Immigration form is not online but you can get one of those at the Port... and it will be in your doc package as well. You can also see the Cruise Gifts and Amenities brochure online too... it's another tab on that My Disney Cruise page.
Have fun!

Things have been way to hectic over here. Let me TRY to catch up with the "cool kids" and play along here:

Last book read: Left Behind. It was a while ago. I've limited my reading to the short stints that I can do while reading US Weekly and In Touch while taking a hot bath. I started the newest Harry Potter, and even me, and die hard Harry Potter fan, just couldn't find the time to complete it.

Favorite Movie: I still have to fall back on Gone With the Wind - although The Notebook is really creeping up there..fast! I also love Titanic and believe it or not, Snatch! Has anyone else but me seen that movie? The other one I just LOVE is Memento, but that is another one few people have seen.

Who would play you in a movie? My husband (Rick, 28) would easily be played by Ron Livingston. If you don't know who he is, check out Office Space, or if you watched Sex in the City, he was the guy who broke up with Carrie on the Post-It Note. He was also in that TERRIBLE movie, Little Black Book.

My daughter (Molly, 6) would be played by Dakota Fanning. Even though she is older, I cannot tell you the number of times people have told me she looks like her. I don't even know which movies this kid is in, and I don't think I have seen even one of them, but I guess she was in The Cat and the Hat and something else???

Me (KC, 32) of course, I am the misfit of the family. Some people have said I look like Renee Zellweger when she was Bridget Jones, but I guess that means they think I am fat??? The one I hear the most often (and get the most disturbed about) is Amy Poehler from Saturday Night Live, when she was in Deuce Bigalow, Male Gigolo.

Ok, so am I caught up now??? :cheer2:

If you're leaving on the Thursday, you're under 30 days. I know we are! I thought my DH, AKA TWGH , would be wondering why I was in a rush to get to the boat, but he wants to be at the terminal when it opens. What's everyone's ETA?

I'm guessing we'll be there around 10-10:30 ish. I'd be there earlier but last time we were there earlier than 10am and they wouldn't let us pull in. I don't care about standing around the terminal for 2 hours... to me that's the beginning of the vacation!! I'm THERE! :thumbsup2 Of course we have more people to worry about this time...........
ELAINE, MOM... are you up for getting there early??

We are having the towncar pick us up @ 9:30, so im guessing well be there between 10:30 and 11:00. Im so ready for this cruise. Its been such a long time since i was REALLY excited about something, but i sure am about this cruise!!

Mom and I will be ready, packed and standing out at the curb whenever you tell us to be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We'd LOVE to be at the terminal early....We'd actually like to enjoy the embarkation buffet...on our first cruise we didn't get to the ship until after 1:30 pm and didn't get to the ship until after 3 pm for the REPO cruise. Being there early will be a blast!!!!!

NOTE TO FELLOW CRUISERS: if you would like some shrimp at the embarkation buffet...you must beat Leslie to the buffet or else there won't be any left....right Leslie? :sunny:

Well, if you want food at all, don't get behind my DH. He doesn't view a buffet as a meal, he views it as a challenge! Thank goodness for his good metabolism. Last cruise we ate at Topsiders, put on our swimsuits, and as I was coating the kids in SPF 1000 sunscreen DH disappeared. I got into the pool with the kids, turned around and there was DH on deck eating a cheeseburger! Why? Because it was there!

We plan to be there at 10ish, but one of us will have to treck to Budget to return the car after dropping off the other 3. I am so excited about not rushing on board just to split up and wait in line for Palo & Spa ressies. :Pinkbounc

Question of the day: If you could become any Disney character, who would you be?

Right now I am pissed at my boss so I would be Malificient and put one hell of a curse on him!

Plus you'd all be able to find me since I would be GREEN! :thumbsup2

On a normal day though, probably Jasmine. She has the smallest waist line, lives in a great castle, and how cool would it be to have a magic carpet?

I will confess that I have been known to clean out the huge clam shell that the embarkation buffet uses to put out the shrimp. Luckily for the other cruisers... they usually refill it.....:rotfl2: Just don't get in my way until I've had at least a couple dozen......

Elaine I never realized you missed the joyful experience of standing around in the terminal!! We will be there when they open the gates!
Unfortunately since we booked last minute... we will have to do the Palo ressie rush... to see if there are any Brunch ressies left. Elaine... we must use strategic planning here.....

Excuse me?? IF?? Please look to your left... ....
I AM the Evil Queen!!

Wouldn't it be nice to release our inner-Malificent (or Jafar) on people who bug us!

Ariel!! She is brave and too curious for her own good!!

Not to mention that Eric is the hottest cartoon prince IMO!! :thumbsup2
OK, feeling like a dirty old lady :rolleyes1

Most days I feel like Snow White...surrounded by little men (usually Sleepy, Dopey and Grumpy) and doing housework. Thank goodness I don't have a stepmother!

I am totally obsessed with somehow, someday getting to do Tinkerbell's flight during Wishes at WDW (bird lady in the Lion King show at AK is my second choice). I think it would be cool to be Tink, except for the near-death "I do believe in fairies" incident.
