This was our first cruise ever and I'm glad we chose Disney.

We arrived at the port around 10:00 dropped off our Budget rental car and they had us back to the Wonder around 10:20. The line opened just as we walked up and we went right inside. Walked right up to check in and to our surprise we had been upgraded to a veranda room
enrolled our ds6 into the clubs next, took about 10 minutes. Our ds17 waited in line to board while we expored the terminal and we were second to board the ship.

Ate lunch as soon as we were on board then went to make Palo res. no problems then went to explore the ship. Rooms were ready at 1:30 and luggage arrived around 2:00.

Our ds6 did not like the kids club, went twice to try but just didn't have much fun, was surprised because he was looking forward to going and begged us to take him the first night. Our ds17 had a great time at Aloft with some other teens and we did not see him most of the trip.

Nassau was ok but would not enjoy again. Went over to Atlantis and though it was very pretty, way to many people, reminded me of a Las Vegas hotel.
Shopping was not what I expected went thru the straw market did not buy anything. The people were not as pushy as I had read earlier. And nothing like when we were in Jamaica!

Did not dock in CC until 12:00 due to high winds. Glad we made it at all!!
Very nice day but they did not serve much food on the island due to late docking. Only fruit, deli sandwiches and ice cream. So we missed the BBQ.
Beautiful weather. To cold to snorkel or play much in the water. Even ds17 who scuba dives did not snorkel. Said there was not much in the water to see.

Loved the shows we saw but missed the Disney Dreams due to palo res. Wished we had gone to the show instead. Dinner was good but not great.
And yes the chocolate soufle was wonderful!

As everyone says 3 days is just not enough time and will book a longer cruise in the future.

Any questions will be happy to try to answer. :wave2:

I was on a Crystal Cruise when we passed by the Wonder docked at CC. (far away but my husband's binoculars confirmed it was DCL) I was jealous because when I sailed on the Wonder we did not get to visit CC. I am glad you got there, better late than never. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Hi there I was going to ask the same question, upgraded from what to what?

Great Report!!!

Thanks for sharing :flower:

Yikes....

was your Palo reservation made at the same time as Disney Dreams by design?.....DD is absolutely one of the greatest highlights of the cruise, and by far the best show......

We made the res thinking we could catch the earlier DD show but when we docked late at CC we did not want to come back on board and get showered and changed until we had to. Wanted to spend as much time on the island as possible. The ds6 and 17 wanted us to go dinner with them at animators palate to see what it was like. They went to DD after their dinner and we went to Palo. Would not do this again. Palo was good but I have had better meals at resturants here at home. Service was great and desert was wonderful!
