Thinking about taking this tour when we go in September. Has anyone taken the tour and how did you like it. DH doesn't want to go so I would be going by myself. Don't know if it is worth the price and do they give any kind of discount?

I took this tour last summer and really enjoyed it. There was a discount at that time and the tour is pretty cheap to start with. The tour is really fun. It takes about 3 hours (I think) and you go on a few rides. We did Haunted Mansion, Carousel of Progress, and People Mover. Typically the tour goes on Winnie the Pooh instead of People Mover but Pooh was down during our tour. The highlight was going backstage to see the Haunted Mansion from a different perspective. Our tour guide also had tons of information about main street and Disney history in general, especially Walt's early influences and influences for the various lands around MK. It was a small group, maybe around 10 people, and was very laid back and enjoyable. I would recommend the tour if you are looking for a new way to enjoy the Magic Kingdom for a few hours without the time commitment or cost of the longer tours.

We are doing the tour in late April. I'll post a report. I will say that everyone from DD11 to the grandparents are excited to do this as something extra in our family vacation.
We did get the Disney Visa Discount on the tour.

We did this trip 2 years ago and loved it. We went backstage at Haunted Mansion, rode Winnie the Pooh, and another ride that I can't seem to remember. It was pre- New Fantasyland.

Excellent tour. I have taken 11 different tours there, several multiple times. This one is good as all the others, do it. 15% discount for AP, DVC and Disney Visa, sometimes AAA.

They don't give AAA discounts anymore. My experience a couple weeks ago was just like JayLeeJay's. Winnie the Pooh was down so we did peoplemover -- seems to be a common occurrence.;) My older DD would like to do the longer utilidor tour, but my DD13 was just old enough for this tour. It was a perfect length for a first time tour. Our guide was excellent and it is inexpensive as tours go.

I did this in December. It was extremely interesting and informative. We did Small World, Carousel of Progress, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tiki Room. (Haunted Mansion and People Mover were down for refurb.) Even after having done the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour at DLR, I still felt like I gained new insights.

Just took this tour a few weeks ago in March. We went on HM and COP. We had Anibal as a guide, who was excellent; he had also done a previous tour I took, Keys to the Kingdom. I definitely learned things I did not know but honestly, seeing how they do the ballroom ghosts at the HM was worth the price of the tour even thought it was less than 10 minutes. (Note: Attractions are subject to change, and you should not take the tour strictly to see the inner workings of one scene in HM) The detailed walk-through of the HM cemetery and the commentary on COP was excellent as well. For $30 (or less with an AP or Disney Visa discount) and a smidge over 3 hours, it was very worthwhile. Since you are looking at going on your own, I think it would be perfect-my tour was over by 11:15 or so, and you'd still have the better part of the day to spend with your DH, and he can surely amuse himself for a couple hours while you take the tour.
