I saw what looked to be a Marc Davis drawing of Jacque and GusGus today that I was curious as to it's value. The picture is of Gus picking up beads and putting them in his (hat?) while Jacque is threading them onto Gus' tail. It is definitely signed Marc Davis. It looked like one of those artist drawings you can get at Art of Disney at DTD. It was framed, though I don't know if it was professional or not. What would something like that go for?

THe HM one at the HHB went for around 800.00.

Now that was teh full poster art, just a smaller version. So hopefully that will help gage.

Is your Marc Davis piece a cel, pencil drawing or lithograph? That makes a big difference in the value, even with the signature.

We have two signed Marc Davis pieces one that is an LE of 250. The other is the piece mentioned in Tiggersmom's post, which is an LE of 25.

In the long run, it's only worth what someone will pay for it. We really like Marc Davis (and the Haunted Mansion) so selling the items isn't part of our plans for the items.

It's nice that you have artwork - enjoy it!

I don't have it, I saw it at Goodwill. It and several other pieces of art were up for sale. A couple of sericells, this drawing (I don't think it was a litho), and what looked like old-time book pages, but were probably lithos.

I would go for it. If it's signed by Marc Davis, you can't go wrong.

Besides, Disney art pieces look great framed. We have them all over the house!

If it's a good price and you like them.....get them.

Just an FYI. I have been to many conventions and events where Mr. Davis was present and he pretty much signed anything that people asked him to even if he didn't draw it.

At the Disneyana Conventions they used to sell art (mostly pencil sketches) from the Disney Design Artists and many people would ask the guest speakers, (Marc Davis, Bill Justice, Richard and Robert Sherman to name a few) to sign some of them. What you saw could be one of those pieces.

I can't imagine that anyone would give something like that to Goodwill........quite a find. I'd run and grab them before someone else does. Good luck!
