Marathon Weekend Refurbs

I know that the Marathon is obviously a huge question mark right now. We typically only go to Disney in summer times so rarely have to deal with refurbs. I know there’s no time line on Splash Mtn remake but I do realize it typically starts it’s refurb in January. Does their closing of it ever coincide with the marathon weekend? Like waiting till after that weekend to close it? DS would love to ride it one more time as it was his first big ride on our first trip. We are scheduled to arrive the Saturday of the marathon. Also can anyone give me insight to that time frame as a whole? We will be there from Saturday, Jan 9-Wednesday Jan 13. Thanks!
