Marathon Day :flower1:

a very very early start to our day and breakfast was served on a charter bus on the way to Epcot parking lot at 3:30 a.m. :earseek: A whole wheat bagel and natural peanut butter to jumpstart our day :jumping4:

After the race we were very hungry and hadn't mady any PS not knowing what we'd feel like doing. My intentions were to hang out at MK until our 1 p.m. massage - we tried lunch at Kona but a 40 min wait didn't sound appealing so we headed into MK and ended up at The Plaza. We stopped at the Main St. Bakery and were too disappointed in the sammich selections (or lack of) to stay, the Plaza Pavalion was closed for refurbishment so the Plaza it was. I ordered a Plaza Club - smoked ham, turkey, bacon, lettuce, vine ripe tomato and mayonnaise layered on toasted bread, and served with German potato salad. This double-layered sammich was very hearty and fresh and delicious. any other day I could've easily split it ;)

Our dinner was sampling a few selections in World Showcase. We started at the Tangerience Cafe and split a vegetarian plate and glass of white wine. I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Our next stop was at San Angel Inn for a favorite appetizer - Ceviche - Seafood marinated in lime juice with tomatoes, chiles, onions and cilantro; and a margarita. Service was quick and friendly and our food didn't disappoint. We ended our meal with a stop at the Boulangerie Patisserie, the counter service Bakery in France. We bought two pastries and split - a chocolate eclair with a dark rich chocolate icing and creamy chocolate filling, and a caramel souffle, to me it looked like a flan and it was heavenly!

Thanks for the reviews. Glad to hear you had a delicious sandwich at the Plaza - that's one place I never hear much about on the Boards.

I was also very pleasantly surprised with how good the food was at Tangerine Cafe - so much so that I ate there twice during my December visit!

Boulangerie Patisserie is a must-do every trip for me. I cannot pass up those excellent French pastries!

I can get lost in that pastry shop. If you see me wondering aimlessly please help me out to the fresh air !
