Marathon Weekend 2026

I just saw the shirts and have the same thoughts as so many others: a giant swath of unbreathable shirt (not unlike the first Adidas Peachtree Road Race shirt, which I don't care for), and it is simply the same rD race logos that we've seen since registering. I'm OK with the shirt colors, but the graphics are... disappointing. The shirts are a big deal, and it doesn't seem to be a big ask for a fresh set of shirt graphics instead of simply cutting and pasting the web graphics.

And I'm in for DATW. I have a GotG LL in the 10:00 hour, and then I'll be there!

I’ll withhold judgement until I see them in person and give them a wear. The size and style of the graphics isn’t that far off from the Champion shirts we got for the inaugural SWDS weekend and I never found them to be a problem. Not ideal, certainly, but definitely wearable.

ETA: I was kinda hoping for a return of the park logos to the sleeves with Brooks coming in, but, I guess not.

Forget about ugliest race shirts ever, those very well could be the ugliest shirts I have ever seen. Well, I will wear them in the parks after the races, but I doubt I will ever wear one of these shirts at home...
Regarding the HM shirt, I'll say the say thing as I said about the medal; perhaps OK for a virtual 5K Valentine's Day run, but terrible for anything else. And I apologize to everyone who would love a Valentine's Day race.

runDisney had a choice between classy and cartoonish for Marathon Weekend. We know which direction they chose.

Made it to WDW! Got to our resort about an hour ago and had lunch in the food court. While eating, our room ready alert came up. Very smooth flight from Houston to Orlando this morning. MCO baggage claim area was so empty this morning when we arrived. Never seen it like that before. Baggage came quickly. Walked over to National and grabbed our car with no wait at the gate. It's been great so far. My wife and son already headed over to Epcot. Need to work for about an hour or so and then meeting them there.

Those race shirts....oof. I think I am with most people and will wear them in the park and then probably never again. That big book graphic is no bueno.

Also, count me in for Team Toasty. I pretty much run in hot weather all year, so I am used to it. I just don't want to be shivering in the corral like last year.

Had an empty seat next to me on my flight down and now Poolside at ASMu. Ahhhhh. Great vacay weather, terrible running weather.

When do they turn the Christmas music off? This is making me want to scratch out my eyeballs.
I struggle with this every year… I’m at a strip mall Ramada til I check into Pop on Thurs, and I always dream of Christmas being over before I arrive. Realistically I think it’s usually over on Saturday.

Was just gonna post that link!

I like the colors, but really wish they'd do something more unique with the design than just plaster the race artwork on the front.
My thoughts exactly! I like the colors a lot, and even the half wasn’t as obnoxious as I feared it might be. But was hoping for more than just an image of a book on the front.

Interesting in that IMHO one of the "perks" of MW is seeing Disney in Christmas mode without having to be here during the crush of Christmas season. YMMV

Ooof! With all respect to Team Toasty, when I see starting temps in the 60’s, my only thought is I would prefer that be my ending temp. Getting a little anxious about that. This is our second day in the parks and high 70’s feels very warm!

After the tundra of Mid-Michigan the past month the heat does feel good, but not for a marathon. My only thought remains ooof!

YES. I do not want to be running down Western Way when the temp is 70+.

The parks logos on the sleeves were such a nice detail, I really love it on my marathon shirts. It would be a great to bring that back, or a similar concept.

I’m team cool all the way, but coming from UK winter to FL is always a bit of a shock to the system, 2020 Marathon was a struggle!

I just spent a week in the Scottish Highlands, ending with a couple of days in Edinburgh in November. That was enough cold for me for one winter!
