Marathon Weekend 2026

SAFD:

Snacks are one of my favourite things at Disney - we'll quite often snack instead of having a full meal. I'll do my best to only pick one per park and not cheat - so I won't throw in festivals etc.

MK: Dole Whip
Epcot: Chips & Salsa at Cava Del Tequila
DHS: Beer flight & Charcuterie board at Baseline Tap House
AK: Fried Rice at Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe

SAFD: Dole Whip float!
I’m not much of a snacker at Disney - we tend to eat big sit down meals and/or bring in snacks. That said I can’t ever make a trip and not have a Dole whip float in MK!
Honorable mention would be Mickey bars or popcorn - both family favorites when the kids were little!

SAFD: I feel like finding snacks is harder than finding small meals for me because I hate asking for an allergy binder at a location and tend to just stick to using the app, but I'll add mine:

MK: Mickey Bar because I haven't found any gluten free snacks here EDIT: forgot about Dole Whip even after reading everyone's responses. Leaving Mickey bar here but adding Orange Cream Dole Whip
AK: Churros from Nomad Lounge
HS: Gluten free brownie sundae that is not on the menu at Scoops but I learned about via facebook haha
Epcot: Exit at IG, walk to beach club, grab gluten free plant based brownie at QS, walk back to Epcot (that's not cheating right?)

Both my daughters have celiac, so new gluten free options is always exciting! We are going to remember the gluten free brownie Sundae at Scoops in HS - thanks!

SAFD: I’m very boring - I prefer to keep my AM and PM snacks as close to my normal daily snacks as possible AND I’m cheap, so I generally bring my own (Clif Bar, cheese & crackers, banana, apple, PB&J) and occasionally pay extortion rates for a Greek yogurt in the parks or at a resort.

If we count dessert as a snack, I do enjoy an ice cream from L’Artisan des Glaces in EP.

If alcohol counts, I like to exit MK to the Poly for a Tropical Dark & Stormy at Trader Sam’s. Oga’s used to carry a White Wampa Ale that was great, but it’s gone now.

SAFD: We typically will go with the usual Mickey pretzel, popcorn, churros, and glazed almonds. But some other ones we like:

MK: Cheeseburger spring rolls, Dole Whip Float
AK: Cheeseburger steamed pods
HS: Jack Jack Cookie Num Num
Epcot: So many to choose from. But Carmel Butter Bar may be the winner. The orange creamsicle milkshake is also pretty good.

SAFD: After thinking about it, I don't guess we do a lot of snacking at Disney, with the we being mostly me.
When the ex and I used to go, we enjoyed the Edy's ice cream on Main St, enough that I switched to Edy's when I got back home.
When the DS and I were there in April, I think we had an ice cream bar one afternoon, but otherwise not a lot of snacking.

Yesssssss. At the dolewhip counter (Tamu Tamu) across from the Lion King show entrance in AK or at Swirls on the Water (by Rainforest Cafe) in DS for sure. You can probably find it elsewhere too, but I know about those for sure. Choice of light or dark rum (Captain or Malibu) at swirls, and Parrot Bay Coconut rum at Tamu Tamu.

SAFD- I usually just go for the standard popcorn, Mickey bar or Mickey pretzel. I'm not a very adventurous eater. I do love the chocolate mousse in France, but when I had it in January it just didn't hit the same. Not sure if they changed it or I was just cranky.

Oh the lumpia! I totally forgot about those. We rarely venture to Pandora because I can't stand those movies, but I will make a special trip for those. Yum!

SAFD I rarely snack in the parks, usually it’s meals at the resort or park. Sometimes store bought snacks thrown in the park bag. At least until AK, then it’s almost always a stop at the Anandapur Ice Cream Truck for a yeti sundae or whatever else on the rare occasion they have a limited edition sundae going on.

I submitted mine back in May, but panic checked again yesterday and today (to make sure I didn't screw it up yesterday). I really dislike the website my local half uses. I have a link that takes your right to my results but have to scroll down to see it, I'm sure the folks checking this are not allotted a lot of time to go hunting. Oh well if RunDisney doesn't like it, and puts me in the back I'll just have to deal with it. (IF that actually comes to pass I will need someone to remind me of this post )

I had this same issue with my faster POT and it made me so nervous that I used my slightly slower POT with a better website. Shouldn't affect my corral but I will be kicking myself if they make some big change to their numbers and it ends up making a difference! You should be able to fix it at the expo though if they put you in the wrong corral and you can show them on your phone your POT (did that for DH this past Princess half).

You might screen shot (and or print out) your result where you can see the URL at the top of the page, just in case you need to visit runner relations at the expo.

Thank you! I didn't realize that was an option if something goes amiss. I read the POT requirements as a If we feel your wasting our time then we are gonna put you in the back, and that would be the end of it. Glad to know there is a possibility of a remedy if something happens.

The key is that the mis-corralling has to be RunDisney's fault. You have to be able to show that you submitted an appropriate proof of time from an eligible race (correct distance and date run within range) in your registration. I don't worry about screenshotting my race result, as I can always pull up the race website to show on the spot. I make sure I have a screenshot of my RunDisney registration page showing the race name, date, time, etc so that I can prove to RunDisney that I met their submission requirements and that any verification issues were on their end. Fortunately I've never had to show it, though.

Hi All,

I’ve always wanted to do a WDW 5k but they never overlap with our trips… until now; we will be visiting during the 2026 Marathon weekend! I know registration is full, but other than trying to get a bib (which I don’t want to do as I would feel guilty taking a bib away from somebody who is in it to support that organization), is there any other way I can do the run? Can I do the run without being registered? Do people ever cancel? Can they give/transfer their registration to somebody else?

I’ve also signed up for the runDisney alerts.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thank you.
