You're not alone I didn't do it either. I kind of wish I did now though. 6.5 miles for me today in the parks.Man! You guys are making me feel like a slacker for not getting out and doing a faux half! Just 6 miles around the parks for me.
Completing the Full will make it C2C. The challenge is never needed, the Half OR Full works so it would be legit. This is where I'm leaning right now as well. Just waiting to make sure I finish the full on this knee before finalizing the decision. Need to make sure I can transfer to the challenge and that it will be a legit C2C with the completed full.
I had a heart attack for you all too when I saw that at first, then read and was like phew. Quiet a whirlwind for you all.rundisney just posted that they are monitoring the weather for tomorrow and practically gave me a heart attack - thought it was another cancellation, but it's not!
"We are actively monitoring the weather for Sunday’s Walt Disney World Marathon and are expecting below average temperatures. Based on the forecast for cold temperatures, we recommend all runners dress in layers, particularly prior to the start of the race. Please be sure to take necessary precautions and have a great race!"
Yep, I've seen all sorts of items used and tossed at the start. Bathrobes..coats...hospital gowns...blankets. I've used an old suit jacket before. I'm sure tomorrow will be full of interesting warm items.Do people still do the 'throw away' thing? It used to be we would buy the most ridiculous secondhand coat and wear that as long as needed. Even if that time period was only long enough to embarrass friends and family. A Wal-Mart raincoat can serve the purpose if you don't want to waist-tie a good jacket. Sitting in those corals can get pretty cold.

Not me - sitting on my couch at Bonnet Creek watching football. Again, I did the training. No guilt. Just fun! You're not alone I didn't do it either. I kind of wish I did now though. 6.5 miles for me today in the parks.
I brought clothes from home for this purpose - just in case.People still do and I will be wearing hoodie tomorrow with that exact purpose. I just am thinking I might need a layer and keep it on because of the wind chill but part of me worried it might be too much. But by today's taste of tomorrow's weather it probably won't.

Factor in wind chill - wind will be blowing hard through the entire race. The rule of thumb is to add 10-20 degrees to the outside temperature. As of now about 39 degrees F. is predicted for the start. So if you dress for standing around in 50-60 degree weather you should be close. I probably would run in a long sleeve tech shirt with a breathable jacket and running tights for a bottom layer. Hats, scarves(towels), gloves(socks) go a long way in temperature regulation.
The most important meet and greet. I'm glad to see you have your priorities straight.Yep, that's 4!
Hopefully looks like 20 knots north westerly praking at 0400 then reducing to about 12/13 knots (ish).Factor in wind chill - wind will be blowing hard through the entire race.

Just heard someone talking about how they are going to try and get to the 13 and see how it goes from there. I honestly can't decide if I'm more concerned for the runners that upgraded and the impact on the first race or on the second half when a lot are going to be fading.
