Marathon Weekend 2017!

Counted at least 6 runners so far while waiting for the Hollywood Studios bus at POFQ. I'm taking the day off from running so I'm fully ready for tomorrow since I have the opportunity for a rest day. I figure I'll get plenty of miles in the park.

Make sure you are in the right line for what you want. Multiple locations inside and outside for lines depending on what you are looking for: gift card, park hoppers, Marathon sign up, etc. I
probably would have just emailed request to run Disney if I had known it would be like this.

I just want to say I think you guys are handling this so, so well. My Facebook running groups have some really angry people who seem hellbent on making things miserable at the expo today, and it's so nice to come here and see positive attitudes.

The people doing their own 13.1 miles on their own are awesome! My 4-year heard me talking about you guys to my husband and now he's saying he has to "earn" his medal too - so if anyone has suggestions as to a place where he can run 200m without bothering anyone I'd love to hear them!

Between hollwood studios and Epcot. The pathways can be used for running without issue.

Line is super long, rivals the line Wednesday afternoon to get into jostens. I was told it's all the same line for refunds and medals.

DH is standing in that line with y'all. What I'm wondering is that we have an ADR at Beaches and Cream for lunch (it was supposed to be a celebratory post-half marathon lunch). If we don't make it because he's still in that line, will Disney exempt us from the $10 charge?

Very cool to see lots of runners on the Epcot resort loop. There are even spectators cheering and handing out food and water. One of the coolest things I have been a part of.

I did that loop and then went to hollywood studios. Now in Epcot...4.3 miles in. (walking the whole way.)

Hm, any idea when it will be sent to us? I was hoping to spend it while here.

Sometime next week. I saw that officially somewhere but can't remember where.

Lots of yellow shirts and lots of luggage medals. Went with my yellow shirt over my running shirt as the temps are supposed to drop. Loving the vibe and spirit.

Ran into @Ariel484, which was cool. Sorry about that awkward handshake, but I am an awkward human.

Goofy, Mickey, Dopey, Pluto, Donald outside WWoS in their training gear taking pics with people. Run Disney did not have to do any of this, and I really appreciate the way they have stepped up. Not only did I receive a full refund for my race, I get the shirt and the medal!

This morning was awesome, so many runners. Families came out to hand out doughnuts and water. So many high fives and runners encouraging runners. Some were wearing their bibs upside down in protest, some in costumes. Disney even send cast members out with water our last mile. 3 down 1 to go!!!

Yep. Forgot to mention there was a rD staffer in the Boardwalk lobby to answer questions. Challenge runners don't have to do anything right now unless they have race retreat or whatever - automatic electronic gift cards, medals after the marathon.
