The event guide has been like that for two days now, it's not done yet.

Wow so it looks like there are 7970 Dopey runners, 2891 Goofy's, 12241 Full runners and 16698 Half Runners.

So we each get to run with 23,101 of our closest friends on Sunday and 27,558 of them on Saturday. On the rundisney results page there were 19,000 and 21,500 finisher's last years full and half so that seems like a big jump.

Well, I hope those corral placements end up being close to the final ones. I would be pretty pleased with corral placement if so.

Come on waivers!!

Also, I'd be fine to do a pre-race meet-up morning of the race or even one before the races start, although we don't arrive until Thursday since we are "only" running Goofy. :D

I'm really excited about the eleifend efficitur part of the course. :) Sounds like a Harry Potter spell though and Universal seems like a long way to run.

LOL...that's common placeholder Latin.

Are you AP and renewing or a new pass Holder? Then my guess is you would get them otherwise I'm not sure.
We were renewing AP's

true. A better comparison would be to look at the totals from last years corrals

Last year there were 8127 Dopey, 3369 goofy, 15291 full and 16176 Half bibs.

Putting it at 26787 bibs for Sunday and 27672 Bibs For Saturday.

So there was an increase of about 150 Dopey bibs, a decrease in Goofy bibs by about 475, a drop of 3050 Full bibs and a decrease in half bibs by 520.

I wonder if the ratio of bib holders to actual participants is constant?

So how does this all work? I'm doing my first Dopey, so I'm a bit confused as to how the corrals are going to work out. There is one chart for the Dopey Challenge. Last year I ran the 10k, half and full individually and was in Corrals B, C and E respectively, with the same PoT. Will I be moving back to start in E for all four races? Just the marathon? The half and full? In the challenges I ran at DLH and SWDS there were different starting corrals for the 10k and half, so I'm a bit confused here.

In the past for Dopey you've gotten 2 bibs. 1 for the 5k,10k and 1 for the Half and Full. You'll be in the same corrals for the 5k and 10k and then potentially a different corral for the half and full. So you'll have at most 2 different corrals.
For the 5k and 10k there are fewer corrals.

For dopey you are given two bibs. One for the 5K and 10K and then one for the half and full. You have one corral based on your submitted time for the first bib and a different corral for your half and full bib.

From past years, you'll be on the cutoff for 5K/10K bib, but based on a Dopey E bib you will be in corral A or B for the 5k/10k and corral E for the HM and M. My gathered information (although if others have more information to add please do so as it will help me in assimilating the Dis'ers page) is provided below.

Crud. If I had actually updated my POT this year with my April 30K race result my McMillan marathon prediction would have been 2:50:45, likely good enough for an elite bib. Not that I would have used it since I'm running with my wife, but just once I would like to be 'elite'.

You're elite to us Mike. And isn't that what truly matters. :)

I've wondered, what is the cutoff for "elite" designation at Disney and does it get you anything above and beyond corral placement?

I'll echo this sentiment. It's also why I'm not too concerned about meeting you face to face when all I'm likely to see on course is your back side! :p

I'd say that if Mike were going all out we'd all be lucky just to see his backside because that means we're even close to him and his pace. I'd then be looking for the nearest ambulance because no way I'd maintain those paces...
